LOL, I think it is so funnny how people from down south are commenting on our "nice Northern weather".

I am not kidding you, 2-3 weeks BEFORE that show had been nothing but SOLID NONSTOP RAIN. The chicken show happened to be on pretty much the VERY FIRST sunny day for nearly a month!!!!

Well, I was planning on it but first didn't recognize you with your short hair. Then was with Christina who was getting Mareks from you and while searching for ice I got distracted! Actually was interested in Sebbie eggs but chickened ( no pun intended) out since I've never incubated waterfowl before. Thought I should experiment with less expensive eggs, like Jens Butterscotch Call Ducks! So cute. Would like the geese to have the run of the chicken yard but need to finish some fencing first.

I did get over to the Paint horse show. Should have asked you to come along. Found a 'mud' colored tail bag for my Pali overo. Time to start getting everyone cleaned up. They are a mess! Make sure you send pics of Scottie in his new show saddle when you get it!

Yeah, I'm not sure what they were... but absolutely stunning birds!

Those birds in cages by the door were pulled off the show for being sick.
One (I was told) was very gouty, and one was sick with maybe MG ?
Not sure...there were ALOT of sick birds there..I have mine on Denigard right now just in case he was exposed.

I only saw three sick birds there, two were the ones that were isolated. A third I believe was removed once the judge was told,.

According to recent information, MG is in almost all (about 80%) of domestic non-commercial flocks.

What were you considering sick? Some birds have a certain look (ie the older male wyandottes and standard cochins get really fleshy around the eyes, and silkies always shake heads on occasion- I don't know if it is due to the crest being in their eyes or what).

Boy, you all sure wore me out yesterday! I have been asleep more than awake today! Dreaming of cute little duckies!

I might have to talk one of you into letting me rent an incubator!
