Well guys, DH called this morning at 8 A.M. and I was still asleep!
I slept like a ROCK with no snoring going on here..but I did stay up late with hearing little noises
and the dog went off a few times due to wold critters..seen raccons have been making mud pies in a big puddle..washing their hands, looks like tiny people were playing in the mud, due to their long thumbs.
DH said Mom is not expected to "make it"
They have done blood transfusions in attempts to clean her blood due to the massive infection & failing kidneys.
They are pumping antibiotics in...nothing seems to be working.
So, looks grim.
DH's Mom is my second mother....
Left to right kids:
the smallest: My younger sis Susan, then the tallest kid: DH's sister Kathy, then the little man in the cute suit: My DH, and then way over on the right: me, the kid with the Easter Bonnet Bucket on my head.
The woman on the left is my Mom, the right, is DH's Mom who is dying.
We were all inseperable.
Our parents always together except when my Dad went overseas in the AF....my Mom & us 2 girls, stayed here in the States, but DH's Dad was always there to help my Mom and every evening they would all 3 or all 4 parents, play scrabble, Monopoly or poker, every holiday, this photo was Easter about 1961.
It looks bad now, my heart aches for DH's Dad.
They have been together (his parents & mine)
, constantly since they were freshmen in HS..Imagine a love that long!
They say that a surviving parent of a love that long, will not live long alone.
I am also trying hard not to think that we will have to move back down there to care for him.
Gawd I hate California, the heat, the BROWNESS & dust, the droves of idiot, crazy, disrespectful people....
We may have a funeral by the end of next week.
I may ride down with my parents, attend, and drive back up with DH.
But I am OK, all else here is OK...
Cheri sorry if I "appeared" snipping about building a plucker....
