Congratulations on a successful hatch! AND props to you for helping the last baby out - that is awesome and brave. Makes me nervous to think about. Did you use a tool or your fingers? How do you help a baby out of it's shell if it's shrink wrapped? I have watched the video of the woman who helped her "twins" hatch, but she was using a pointy exacto knive which scared me a bit.
I used rounded tip tweezers. the kind for stamps...and just worked on the membrane. The one I peeled back already zipped, just got stuck & the membrane was hard already. Wet it without drowning the duckling inside, although it keeps wanting a drink & sticking its tongue at me. Creepy cute.
This was an egg that hatched 2 or 3 days later.
I think my pure bread blues take a few more days, so if I put them in together, i have a delama. Take out the day olds and dry the blues or not.
So now I just set them 2 days later. 30 day hatch vs 28.
