Don't say canoe...I am trying my hardest not to go to the Costco in Woodinville with my pick up to go haul that kayak home.
The floods are coming & we need a kayak...that's my story.

Tolt & Snoqualmie is flooding tomorrow & when that happens...so does my backyard.
I so need a micro-hydro to tap the hydro power from that creek.

You got that right girl. Gotta get that remote! I hate the shows DH picks to watch. On Saturday he watched TV all day. He's really starting to hate this weather and is protesting by not going out and doing a single thing all weekend. Anyway, all day he watched movies that everytime I came in the house there was constant screaming and gunshots. Actually forced me outside since I couldn't stand to hear it. I can only take so much of that stuff. I guess he's really desensitized.

Evergreen Hospital Maternity Ward has the remotes built into the side-rail on the bed so it is in complete MOM cotrol!

As much as I love ducks. Im not allowed to have waterfown anymore. lol My DH is ok with me hatching chickens, with the promise of selling as many as I can, and processing the extras. Soooo.... Im trying to figure out a good breed, or mix of breeds "not mutts" that are duel purpose. hens decent layers, and roos a decent weight for processing... So 2 dozen eggs is what my bator says it will hold, I know I can stack eggs also. lol

Any sudgestions on a good breed to raise? or should I look for meaties?

A dual purpose breed is one that provides both meat & eggs.
So you have to decide which breed you want or meaties.
Meaties are the untimate fast meatiest....and in several weeks the mess is over, processed & in the freezer.
I think my favorite dual purpose breed is Buckeyes, they are broad & thick and resemble Cornish although they do not have cornish in their background. The also have reported from all over they are sweet tempered not a mean one anywhere.
But, read up & make your decision.
I am getting Cornish and will have the Cocks over both Buckeye & white rock hens, so those hens will lay a cornish cross meat egg I can hatch some whenever we run low on chicken in the freezer..can't get any fresher or cheaper than that.
I also dislike the nasty meaties hatcheries sell in that sit in their on poo & do nothing but eat and eat..I want a meaty that can free range, be leaner and have more flavor.

I have a 14' aluminum with OB motor, fully rigged & ready to go, just have to unclip the tie down to the trailer..and tie it off to a tree.
And an 18 foot I/O fulley loaded, gotta do the same or when the water gets high, the boat cannot float if lashed to the trailer

I will pick you up as I float by.......a 18 foot white boat with burgundy stripes and 45 chickens and a big white dog..that'll be me..ooh gotta bring the incubator & generator....
