Hope this puts a smile on yer face and gives ya a warm fuzzy feeling like it did me. I will try to shorten it up.
Today I was at one of the local feed stores Talking to an old guy and he told me he tried to quit but the boss told him no. I see how you talk to people and draw a crowd. So you can set your own schedule and all you have to do is sit in the swing and tallk to people. How cool is that the guy gets to pick his hours and do what he really likes to set in "HIS" porch swing and talk to people. And he shares his swing with customers I even got to set in it with him today.

Why are people so rude?

I had an auction going for some eggs which ended last Friday. I was not able to mail the eggs until Wednesday...I didn't know this person was in a huge hurry for eggs?

So I get this email from her:

Yes the eggs that the auction ended Friday you apparently did not mail until Wednesday.
Hon, if you cant do a good job dont do it no matter how much you need the money.
I dont think this was exactly a timely transaction, and not how I would do an auction, but I guess we are all different
and some of us mail when it fits into our schedules
Accurate Feedback will be left after the hatch.


This is my response:


I apologize for the delay.

The auction ended Friday night and our post office is not open to receive eggs on the weekends.

Thursday night I received a phone call from my doctor (8:30pm at home) telling me they found some concerning things on my ultrasound I had earlier that morning. So she scheduled me for an appointment Monday for a Level 2 ultrasound with a Perinatologist in Spokane (a 6 hour round trip) to check on my baby's heart.

So Monday morning my DH & I left for Spokane. That was a LONG & stressful day. We did not get home until close to 10pm that night and I had to leave for work at 6:30am the next morning--so I boxed them up Tuesday night when I got home from work, after feeding/watering all of the animals and making dinner.

This is a hobby of mine I have a "real" job in which I do quite well. It's not about money at all or this certainly wouldn't even be a hobby of mine. If I knew how to make money doing this, I would be.

Sorry that I didn't fit into your schedule of mailing. I did my best given the emotional roller-coaster I've been on lately with my pregnancy.

That said--I think feedback goes both ways on here? I don't appreciate the threatening undertones, either. This person bought 6 eggs, I sent 9. I mailed out as soon as I could. I have just been exhausted and so tired lately....it's people like this that make me question why I'm doing anything with chickens/ducks/geese at all.

For some reason--her email made me cry. I think it was just an accumulation of everything...but my chickens/ducks/geese are not only my hobby but an outlet for my stress. I have a high-stress job, too....so they keep me (somewhat) sane....
