the road is ray road and the pond I am talking about is on the otherside of ray road from wallace pond. I have seen "keeper" sturgeon caught as far up as the barrier dam on the Cowlitz. There are a couple of other nice places to go where you can get land locked silvers and some very nice hold over trout nice pink meat not the pale mushy hatchery ones. I can't tell ya where those places are because there are just some things that ya don't anounce to the whole world. If ya just like to cast and reel and do catch and release I can show ya how to get past the fence at the hatchery.

Well seems them folks in Alaska are a little nicer than the locals here. It is not uncommon for locals to direct someone to a fishin hole but not where there is good fishin. So I have been told, not that I would know anything about that.

No this little pond is for real and is good bass fishin. I have seen 3-4 #come out of there. But it is not easy access. You have to go down a steep bank about the same distance as to the water at Wallaces.
DW is starting to wonder if we/ I am safe now for us to go to the party.

Yes if I come (which I am planning) She will be with me. Due to DW's condition I can't/won't leave her for more than an hour or so. That is part of what may make the trip a bit of a challenge but I am up for it. So far I haven't heard of enough unsecured coops to make it worth bringing the trailer so for now it will just be the truck but only takes me a minute to hook the trailer for lots of chickies.
