Raining mules. Heh. You got that right, Ogress!

I can't figure out where the luxurious 48" X 25ft roll of 1" poultry mesh I blew my entertainment budget on got to. Not that we're going to build a hoop house in this weather; no, temporary retrofit on the old dog run, thank you very much, and then do the hoop house tomorrow. The chicken coop is sitting safely tarped, and is, minus one board that someone's going to have to lay on the ground to attach, at a point where I can finish it. Well, and I need someone to help me put up the livestock panel but that's the work of minutes.

Pictures I took yesterday:

OK that's it for now, I am going shopping.
It finally started sprinkling here at 4 AM, right when I was going out to open coops of course.
It is balmy, like 60 degrees, and barely misty.
You guys got all the rain this time!

Boy, just looked at the weather radar: what a mess! Also: UGH. Also whine.

Oh, well, from the look of it I'm glad I don't live just east of CR, where things got serious.

Nice enough here, warmish, but just enough misty drizzle to make work outside annoying.
I am going to spend the day inside or in the car...LOVE those orthopedic captain's cahirs in the van..my back needs a day of rest!
Later peeps!!!
Forgot to say, when taking MOT to the dump 2 days ago, scored a huge HEAVY plastic mesh net with poly rope sewn all away around the perimeter..free.
Seems to be from over a fish hatchery tank..love the dump!!!!!!!!!

Hey how big is that net? Any chance ya might consider a trade for some I have. What I have is made of about 3/16 cord. This one is round and 60' diameter. But the 3x3 holes re too big for the RIRB.

CL- the duckles are adorable!!!! (Of course!!) Amazing how quick they grow but still don't have any feathers!

We have the 2nd baby out of the 3rd hatch!

Taking the others to meet a person from Clist. Bye Bye!!!

It was pretty funny--this morning--DH was like--how many eggs do you have in that thing? The thing being the cabinet bator...I said, I'm not sure.

He was like well--how many eggs does each tray hold--like a couple dozen? I was like, yeah...something like that. I didn't want to tell him 41 per tray (x 3). He didn't mention the other two hovabators I have going. LOL He said, "Oh then there must be like 50 chicks in there, then? What are you going to do with like 50 chicks?" I told him I can sell some right away because certain breeds need a certain # of toes (like the Favs) and good toe spacing so any born without the extra toes or good spacing can go right away...others, I will have to wait on probably until fall. I told him anything not sold by mid-fall we'll process. He seemed okay with that. Not sure how much meat is on a Faverolle bantam?

I don't have as many chicks under my broodies but DH said what are we going to do with them if they hatch told him keep a couple and sell the rest. Then I want the broodies to sit on lavender orps next!
