Yes there still are a few of us out there that seem to be throw backs from the pioneer days, me not as much as CL!! I do have some of the comforts of home redneck style, like ya know the double wide and the camper ect... LOL!
I'm very sorry your wife doesn't like chickens, it's too bad, they are quite fun to have around. We all have our "issues " when it come to our mates, mine is my boyfriend who is and has been for 23 years a truck driver by trade, he has logged many many miles! The last time we took our pickup and went to Vancouver, WA ....he spied a truck chain on the side of the road on the Oregon side, I almost went flying into the windshield even with my seatbelt on cause, he just had to go and get it!!! When he got back in the truck I said wait this has got to be a redneck joke, let me think..... if you think picking stuff off the side of the road is better than shopping at a thrift store!!! ........you might be a redneck!!!!

I mean he got so mad at me, I don't think I've ever seen him that mad, but, he had followed that up with trying to pick up somebodies truck liner that had blown off between Granger and Wapato!!!! I laughed pretty hard, but, said I was sorry.... so I don't give him a bad time about it now, but, it does drive me crazy!! lol
and yes we would love to see the condo as soon as you can post the pics!

anyway, I was just joshin ya!!!

Sounds like my brother - his wife won't even let him take stuff to the landfill anymore because he always comes back with a lot more than he went with! My dad was the same way. KI think that is where all of our bicycles came from when we were kids, well that and the Berryessa Flea Market in San Jose.

How much is the feed from Patriot now? Just got an invoice from Scott for 1/2 a pig ... no clue what I'll do with over 100 pounds of pork! OUr family goes through maybe 10 pounds per year, including bacon, ham, etc.... Guess it will join all the beef in the deep freeze. If anyone has any great pork or beef recipes, I'll take them.

Scott is going to bring the pork partway up to my place, I told him I'll send him a check for that and 4 bags of feed, but he did not tell me the feed price.

Maybe sometime this summer I will have to have a BYC BBQ here!

I was almost afraid to say my opinion of that movie after it came out but since I am not alone.... GAG! The people who made that movie are the ones who think that domesticated animals should be returned to the wild to live free! Sorry, just had to rant a bit!

My friend brought it over, telling me how great it was. I fell asleep. Don't like Star Wars nor Star Trek either, but I loved the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

End of the year teacher gifts -

What did you all do when your kids got to middle school and now have way too many teachers to get them all gifts? I can make earrings or bracelets for the female teachers and the bus drivers, but Alex has 4 male teachers as well.

And Olivia has just one, also a man. In the past I've donated to children's charities in their names, but that seems rather impersonal.

Wednesday is the day my Icelandic Eggs hatch!

I just set some white leghorn eggs and some Cayuga Duck eggs.
