Ok.. I have to chime in here....

any temp below is not nice but.....
the higher the humidity the colder it feels the worst it gets.
I lived in Idaho for 4 years...
Been here the rest of my life...
Visited Fairbanks AK in Dec to visit Santa in the "North Pole" with 2 youngins...

-10 in Fairbanks is about the same as -10 in Boise which = about 0F in western soggy Washington.

Yakima... having spent many a weekends visiting grandma when I was a kid.... about in between Boise/Western WA...

Although you're forgetting the wind. The coldest it's been around our house here in Okanogan (with the wind chill) was around -25 maybe -30. However, when I was in North Dakota--I think it was much colder than that...and we were trying to shovel (very frozen) horse poop. Not fun.

Ok. In the next day or two I am going to get pictures of each and every cockeral I have. I will post them here just in case someone wants one, Im also posting them on craigslist. Free just come and get them. This also means I have to decide on what one of the Blue or black ameraucanas gets to stay...

I usually do that, if it's in a pocket at all: last Tuesday I was wearing a pair of jeans that the front pockets have been used for fence staples, nails, screws, wire-cutters and bits of barbed wire far to often to have a wallet stay put.

It was a bad day with bad results, although I've been collecting suggestions to pass on the next time someone else has a bad day.
