I removed much of the blu-kote with hand sanitizer as I don't have nail polish remover. Now I look rather zombie-like., and when I got in front of the mirror, I saw my blouse must have been sagging forward so when I sprayed the blu-kote, I speckled the top of my chest with the crud as well. Crud. Why do they put it in a spray bottle? I think a felt applicator head would be much more useful.

Do female chicks fight as well, or just males? These will be 6 weeks old on Sunday.

I'm around, lurking periodically. But I have neither chicken issues nor canning exploits - though I did make some pretty good rhubarb raspberry freezer jam not too long ago.

Just sitting outside and all of a sudden I get a bloody nose. I yell at the DH to help me and as he is getting me in the house my mother yells for him to grab his shotgun ( she lives right next door) she had seen a skunk. Well DH ended up shooting 3....but saw a total of 7. LORDY!!!!!!!! But he smells bad. DH is in the shower right now. I don't think he should sleep in the house tonight.

LOL

I had a run-in with a civet cat while staying at my grandma's house

no one would speak to me for a week

tomato juice may help; enzyme cleaner may be a better bet

soap and water won't work, Dawn dish detergent MIGHT

I had 2 up to a few weeks ago and they never fought. The one we kept was more interested in being in my lap than fighting. We didn't need 2 so the other one who was more people shy went to auction. Rocky is still a very nice boy.
Hope your boys settle down for ya!

YEAAAA... my DH is back from a week long Cisco geek fest in Vegas! Brought home the kids very cool silver sequined mini fedoras that have super bright minis lights in them! With all six of them on it looks like fireworks are going off in the house! VERY COOL!

He never got hit directly....but once shot...all body fluids are released. So the entire outside smells very bad. The DH being outside just absorbed some of the odor. He smells really bad.
