Speaking of biohazards, the stupid coyotes are messing with our attempt to get rid of apple maggot and other diseases of old orchards. Free ranging under the apple trees last year put us a little ahead, but unfortunately it's not going to happen this year.

I got a special invite here from Chicken Rustler in Ethel (did you know I used to work in Ethel?) cuz I was on the OR thread and I'm actually from WA.

I'm right near the border and closest to Portland is why I'm not "faithful" to my state.....

But he says y'all are a nice group! I followed this thread a little bit at one point but I'm more often lurking at SS forum.

However, I'm a big chicken fanatic so I'd love to network more with local

types.

I've got EEs, Speckled Sussex, RIR, BOs and two Russian Orloffs, 25 in all. I am kind of working toward breeding EEs as they have become my favorites. We mostly have our chooks as layers and pets.
