It's not perfect. But I think they will like it.

if your baling alfalfa for sale, can you pm me a price and location? or anyone else you might know that has decent hay for a decent price? small or large squares, doesnt matter

Nope, we haven't raised alfalfa for decades- too picky in any part of the Wetside except Sequim (and it would have been a disaster this year, way too cold and wet). We put up round bales of mostly timothy, orchard grass and Lotus major down in the Nisqually valley and fescue in a couple of places up on the plateau- square bales are by prior arrangement and sold for in-field pick up only. The best prices on alfalfa are still East of the Mountains, it's getting it to this side that drives the price up. Well, that and demand, and with the weather east of the Rockies this summer the stuff is going to be gold by winter.

Which is to say good luck, sorry I don't know in particular.

To continue my run of bummer posts, here we are, less than a month since Zathras walked out the door the last time, and Thursday I walked around the corner to turn on the sprinklers and there were four rabbits just sitting there- I had to yell and wave my arms to make them get out of the way. And then tonight I was looking out my bedroom window and there was a RAT argh, argh, argh argh.

I was going to put off ordering the rat zapper until the next paycheck, but no, nope, TOMORROW I don't care about the gazillion dollars in insulin, test strips, and needles coming out of my bank account, not in the face of rats.

I hate rats so very very much. We never had them before the apartments and their darned dumpsters moved in across the road, not even when we were feeding past-pull-date bread.

I imagine that is some serious culture shock moving from So Cal to Pullman. And yes, it is quite the drive. I'm having to set out on Thursday to take my daughter back to WSU and some of those stretches of road are longggg. Not looking forward to driving there and then back again the next day, especially after having to move her into her apartment and helping organize. Pullman is an interesting little town though. Just kind of glad *I* don't have to live there.

The up side of Pullman over Clarkston (for instance) is that it's a college town, thus a bit more ummm "lively".

Well as for the lav RIR that is what I was told and I kind of thought What? but see I don't know squat about breeds and colors etc. I plan to be in contact with the man who is doing these and if it really is so I will have some one way or another cause I know where he lives.

Had a pretty good day. Got a nice big stainless infared BBQ with side burner, cover, rotisserie (sp), and tank of propane for $20 in barter Oh and it also included some very un-friendly bees. Also got a bunch of other goodies for free. Got these for DW and they are very 3D. With wall hangers.
