My kids believe that it is warm out whenever the sun is shining, so they waited at the bus stop in t-shirts with no jackets and did not even get goose bumps. I don't know how cold it was at 6:40 when DS was waiting or at 8:20 when DD was at the stop, but it's only 48 now, so I'm sure it was not T-shirt weather! (My Farmtek dial thermometer reads 102 right now! I should just get rid of the worthless thing)

I woke up to 36 degree temp this morning... This means its time to start blanketing my Sister horse... Poor mare never grows a winter coat... Wonder if its a genetic thing, or if she is just a freak, cause ALL the others here are starting to fuzz up heavily. Ive decided to not blanket my little filly, she is already a fuzzy mess. lol Ill blanket on really cold nights, but thats it. Chickens are stupid, they still refuse to go into the coop. Every night I have to hand carry them in. Stupid birds...

My DS is the same way! I harp on him to take a jacket or sweatshirt, and his response...."Mom...natural body heat!" LOL I'm the cold-blooded one in the family, he's just like his dad, warm ALL the time!!!

I keep going to sleep at night thinking about another, bigger incubator which, combined with my little one as a hatcher, would give me half a dozen new chicks a week next spring. Then, I get nauseous thinking about wringing the little cockerels necks. I'm out of my mind.

They're doing to get the attention. They love you.
