Dang! $175 a month?
Room, board, vet bills, mucking and training all for $175 a month?
I boarded horses in 1968, got a stall, a paddock & fed alfalfa 2X a day.
That was it. all for $150 a month, in 1968 !!!!!!!
No training, no vet services..I had to muck or it didn't get done.
You are far too kind to the guy, vacate him!

I go on NorCal all the time & gave away 11 Emus there to some BYCers in NorCal....
You can 'visit' whomever you like here, in any state.

If you've "charged" him fees and he hasn't paid, then you are within your rights to seize the horse in lieu of payment. You have to give him 30 or 60 days notice I think, but if he doesn't pay in full, the horse is yours. If I want that kind of service, it costs me almost $400 a month...

From a guy in Stanwood. It seemed like a decent price for a good looking cedar coop. He raises chickens and builds coops as a hobby. Really nice guy too.

Was he on Craigslist? If so, I considered those. Looked nice but didn't have the kind of run I wanted. You should pics when you get it set up.

Yep, that's him. Young guy and will build it as you like. I'm having him reverse the floor plan. I may get a second run later for when we have to leave them for a few days. I'm getting a single run for now. They will have their own yard when they move out. What kind of run are you looking for?

I dont have any pink bags, but I have lots of green ones that I refuse to throw away!

They also make adequate wind screens for wire runs.

And I'm going to make the sheep a thorn-proof coat out of the next empty alfalfa pellet bag.

Never even thought about wind screans! Wonder if they could be water proufed with something like camp dry??? Hmm... I see an experiment coming up in my near future!

Yeah, I was mostly worrying about getting moved to "wanted to buy" or something; this place seems really rigorous about enforcing on-topic rules.

I'm sitting here thinking about the fact I have to stand up and go in the kitchen and clean ten ponds of tomatillos Margo brought over today plus chop onions and get them going for chili and I am SHOT right now. I didn't realize how tired I was last night until I went out and found the Hamburg's gate completely unfastened, the bungy cords neatly hung on the fence so it was obviously me who didn't close it. Closing gates is like a religious ritual to me, I don't ever leave them unlatched, so that was pretty shocking. The fact the Hamburgs didn't get out or a raccoon in is just evidence that God protects fools, I guess.

Oh, yeah, and I ended up picking half the ripe quinces even though I didn't expect to; they were glowing golden and that's when the stupid squirrels start gnawing on them if they aren't picked. I've got them sitting in a basket on top of my desk; pretty soon they'll warm up and scent the room with a sort of pineapple/gardenia mix, which will ameliorate the old dog digestive stench.

I'd try a couple coats of exterior latex paint for my first experiment. I think Camp Dry is oil-based and might soften polyester.
