Oh come on...don't you want to read a couple 1000 pages worth of posts?

For the first time, in his entire life, my DH is going to have seared, marinated Backstrap!!!!!!!!!!

Believe it or not, despite being a crack shot (sometimes I have a hard time believing how good a shot he is) he has wasted most of his life in California, and insomuch, has never got a deer.
been hunting a few times for deer, never got one.
He is LOVING WASHINGTON!!!!!
We hunted upland game & waterfowl since we could walk..with our parents of course, and later when we could drive, we went by ourselves & invested in memberships at places like Graylodge in the Central California Valley.
YUM.
Maybe I can trade some red salmon or Venison to Clover for a bit of Elk?????????

I am talking to T-Hi on her phone via text from my computer~ pretty cool!

Toni says she is working 3 jobs to try & save $ to get a rental (first/last & dep) so she & the girls can rent somewhere near where they are cuz Toni is driving school bus & the girls are way into stuff at the high school, soccer, basketball, cheer sqaud(= evey football game + practice & fund raising for their sports

)

Edited to add again: Toni says her house will be auctioned off on Nov 18th....and no one bid on the last auction on Oct 20th..so she still has a roof over her head for now.
I cannot believe the stress of knowing you will be kicked out of the home in the middle of winter!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG poor T-Hi !!!!!!!!

T-Hi has asked me again to ask any of you here: Anyone have any rentals in the Bonney Lake area?
She is an excellent renter, fixes stuff up, clean clean clean..I cannot believe how clean her house is.
Note: Her house is a foreclosure previously owned by friends.
It was vacant, so they let her stay there, but time is running out, the bank has taken it over & auctioning it..if it sells, she & the girls will be out in the street.
We need to help find her a rental around Bonney Lake so she can keep her job, and the twin teen girls can continue to go to the same High School....

It's hard to keep up with this thread. Some days I can go do chores and come back and there are 10 new pages.

I have DE...but hardly ever use it in the feed. More on the roosts, ground and poop boards. I have been going in and checking her...I keep massaging as it seems to kind of come back a little...but she is already feeling so much better. It is just the weirdest thing. I have never had to deal with this before. Now I know. Learned something new. Thanks to all that helped.

AWESOME gotta love yer chicken buddies dontcha !!

Well, we would be going off to do the last round of grocery shopping...except Malvina took a run for it while we were shutting her cage door, spent the hour and a half my daughter and I were getting other chooks fed and some cage work done making a tour of the yard and blowing whatever the chicken equivalent of raspberries is at the caged ones, and then after we penned Bacchus for the night we had an invigorating ten minutes of failing to catch the chicken. We're letting it get a bit darker and see if she'll go settle down.

You'd think she'd be grateful; we'd just put her on a nice little patch of bedstraw sprouts, too. Oh, well.

Did she by any chance, get into your dog food?
I have had hens get impacted from scarfing the dog kibble, and it being hard, and the chicken has no stomach full of acid (or teeth to chew their food) they swallow it whole & it sits there hard as a gofball.
Hopefully it does not travel down & plug the crop entirely before it finally softens & can make it through the tube to the gizzard, where it can be broken up & "digested"
I have to hide the dog's bowl!!
Grapes, cherry tomatoes or any other hard little thing can plug them up.

nope. no dog or cat food. According to an article I read...grass can bind them up too. I have been free ranging them quite a bit. She is still in the house. I will just keep an eye on her.
