Hey being a big high falootin chef he probably anit ever had good old home fried chicken spuds gravy and a veggie.
Ya just might shock him by showing how real poeple eat.

Im thinking I might just do a good hearty home style baked chicken. Garlic, thyme, poultry seasoning, salt peper, olive oil, red potatoes, onion, and carrotts with a nice thick gravy... Im gonna make DH make the gravy, because I hate making gravy! lol

I really need to not worry about WHO is coming over, and just fix a meal. lol I rarely completely botch a meal, and hardly ever have anyone complain...

I don't know why, but as I read this I just remembered that I told DH that we are going to have pot roast tonight. i need to go and get the meat out of the freezer.

I am still trying to catch up on about 3 or 4 pages.

Or maybe you and I will just keep our bottle wrapped in a paper bag and go out to the car for a beverage break every once in a while...

Or kinky! LOL

They have a light on the inside I wanted it light outside so I could throw them out as I got them dosed. I didn't want them in the dark. Headlamp is not a bad idea for the nights I get home late and still need to feed horses and check on chickens. I usually hold a flashlight under my arm but can be very inconvenient and inefficient.

Kinky! That's the word I was looking for but couldn't remember.

It's funny how fast something mundane can start to sound kinky.

Just make sure that she doesn't sleep all day. It's awful when babies get their days and nights mixed up.

CGG - I remember you saying right after we invited ourselves over that November might be a particularly busy month for you and beyond that I wasn't sure if folks would be busy with holiday stuff. So we haven't really narrowed it down yet. You weren't rude at all! PM me to let me know when is best for you and we'll go from there!

Well I just got a call about my friends dad. It was just the most current info. Nothing new but..... They do have lots of searchers and it should now be a state search which means state wide resources will be available.

Have you ever butterflied a whole chicken? All i do is cut the back bone out of body of a whole chicken with kitchen scissors. I then stuff the herbs under the skin, and roast the bird. I usually heat up the herbs in a couple of tablespoons of Olive oil, then I let the herb sit for about 45 minutes to an hour so that they blend together. I also tend to use red pepper flakes when I do this. I have several versions of this recipe. I can't ever seem to leave a recipe alone. I seem to need to tweak things, just because I can.

I made my own wine while in California.
FiL has 2 rows of Pinot Noir, about 40 plants, now will be 12 years old, perfect.
We had white wine grapes at our place.
We made some awsome wine!!!!!!!
I still have to get some "Island " vines here...cannot remember the whole name, island something, that grow well here.
Unfortunately, have not found a red wine grape that likes this wet cool clime.
If anyone knows, please PM me, I want to get them planted THIS fall.

I think you might be remembering "Island Bell" grapes. A lot of folks grow them around here. As far as good red wine grapes - it's a little wet this side of the mountains so that's why we buy ours in eastern WA and have a big crush once a year. On October 30th we crushed 2200 lbs. of different varieties for our customers who had placed orders through us. We brought Merlot grapes, Cabernet, Zinfandel, Sangiovese and Syrah. DH and I had purchased 5 25 lb. boxes of Cabernet in October 2010 that is still in the carboy. We'll be bottling that after the first of the year. I'm pretty excited about that batch - last sampling was pretty good, it just needs to age a bit more before bottling and then it will just get better!

Hhhmmmm......... I think we may need to discuss this behind the scenes. It has very interesting possibilities.

But I do know that I would rather stay out of trouble, and don't want to offend anyone, just for wanting to sip on some nectar of the gods.
