About 2 weeks ago the earthquakes in Oklahoma were felt here. A lot of the peeps on the Kansas thread were talking about it, my oldest son was the only one to felt it but did not know what it was. I would still rather be in a earthquake instead of a tornado.

Glad that everyone is OK. I do remember my first quake, We live in Redwood Valley Ca. it was 1977 and I was in 6th grade in Mr. Bliss's science class of all places. I was one Scared little boy and hated earthquake until I saw the damage from a very small tornado that hit west Topeka in 89.

My first earthquake was a 6.5 when I was ten; Mrs. Picket's class. It didn't scare me. Earthquakes still don't scare me. A tornado would probably terrify me, but who knows.

Y'all need to realize how rude folks are to handicapped people, too.
When DH was in a wheelchair (I behind him) people in lines would squeeze in front of him, step in front of him, practically sit on his lap.it is as if NO ONE CAN SEE YOU DOWN THERE.
Lots slam doors on him...they just do not 'see' a person in a wheel chair.
I do intend to run over any that pull that carp on me.
I scolded someone every 10 minutes for messing with DH in his wheelchair.
Seriously, people do not even notice a person in a wheelchair.
The other gross thing is all you can really see from a wheel chair is BUTTS>

I am also getting very good with crutches, in that I can smack people, open gate latches, fling stuff (like golfing) pick up stuff (like giant tweezers) and so on.
No one better mess with me!!!!!!!!

Oh I know. A friend of mine at work's best friend is in a wheelchair for life...one day they were pulling into a store when they saw these 2 boys in a big truck pull into the last handicapped spot and hop out. Victoria raced up to them in her wheelchair, and said "excuse me, exactly which one of YOU is handicapped??!?" The boys were mortified and moved their truck. Hopefully they learned their lesson that day.

This just came from Mr Decker:

No Problem Robin; Just send a supplemental entry. If you have the standard printed for them we will have the judge go over it and place them to best of variety and breed. According to APA and ABA rules they cannot go farther than that. On the entry blank we need to know the comb type and whether they have clean legs or feather legs. I am working with the show secretary on the entries so I will be looking for your additions

Brian

Geeze!
I have since returned an e-mail & told him Icees have only in the last year been imported into the USA. They have every comb type, clean & feather shanks & are all multicolored.
There is no standard and they are not in the SOP nor do I see them ever being in the standard due to their many traits.
I ask to have a space for my table to display the birds & educate the public, next to the wall where all the other breed clubs are, such as the Fav Club & Ameracauna Club, etc.
I am willing to pay for said space & have my own table, just request $ for use of a turkey sized pen to display them in.
Thanks

Will see what he says now.
If he insists the Icelandics be ENTERED to show, then what do you all think I should do?
Go with it?
After all, the Midget White Turkey is NOT in the SOP either, but mine won BB, BV, and Grand Champion at our Fair.who knows??????

Edited to add:
can you imagine how wierd the entry form would be:
example:
LF/blue wheaten/crested/feather legged/ cockeral
LF/ orange/red/brown/crested/clean legged/pullet
LF/blue /crested/clean legged/ pullet
and so on...boy will they get confused.
I imagine I would have 1 Icelandic in every row in every section.............

......all over the arena....................

Food for thought. A small tornado can total your car, demolish your house and kill you if not in a shelter. The small one in 89 shoved plate glass though car tires and tore roofs from houses. This tornado went over a High School, some of my friend that were they said they saw AC units flying in the air above them as they were heading for shelter.

And that is the biggest reason I do not want to even think about living in tornado country..you can loose everything, including your family, forever.
In an earth quake, stuff just falls down, occasionally, but at least it is all still there.
