I am making Monkey Bread.
Or Monkey balls...whichever.
I had frozen dinner roll dough in the freezer for DH, had 15 rools left...so I got a bread pan & greased it.
let the dough balls sit on the counter 10-15 minutes til you can cut them..cut in 4 pieces
roll in melted (but not hot) butter a few pieces at a time
roll in a bowl of cinnemon/sugar
place in pan.
Poured the bit of butter over & topped with a bit more sugar...
Stack the balls all atop each other gently...
cover with plastic wrap & let it rise
When it is fully risen, bake as you would bread.
Can be sliced, or torn apart in a gooey mess.
finger lickin good
I usually add chopped walnuts throughout as I stack the balls...but do not feel like cracking walnuts.
IT IS REALLY COLD HERE !?!?
Weird !
It is barely 40 and sure feels like snow to me...the air is very very heavy & cold...heavy with precipt I guess.
And of course, I cannot eat any of the Monkey Balls...as it is wheat bread dough....
