Take it easy Mr. RonB! Don't get jealous! I haven't forgotten you! I hurt my wrist last weekend(I'll tell you the story when I see you), and got seriously busy with the kids stuff that came up. I am planning on coming by to see you tomorrow or Friday. I have some DE for you.

You know you can build a seperate enclosure for the ducks right? And just leave them penned up while your chickens are out. Build it around the little pond!

Just an idea.

I live in Woodinville along with RonB. I am not looking for a roo, but always looking for more chicken friends. And it's great when we chicken people live close to each other. Where in Woodinville? Ron and I both live off of Woodinvillle-Duvall Rd. Great pictures by the way!

As promised, peepers pics!
All hatchery "ruined", but still delightful. As of matter of fact, only 2 of my birds are not hatchery stock, and I have quite a colorful egg basket anyway.

Nyrial the only thing I'd "lynch you for" is calling them Ameraucanas. . . Because they're not.

But otherwise, nothing wrong with EEs. . . They're crossbred, so there's no judging - Besides, there are quite a few out there with AMAZING egg color.

LOVE Punkin though!

Zgoatlady (or anyone else in the vicinity of Enumclaw) years and years ago I purchased my first layers at the Enumclaw Auction. Another time I purchased a delightful little broody bantam with 7 week old chicks for $4.00. A few months later, I sold 4 roos out of that clutch at the auction. So tell me...does it still exist? Even though it's a long drive, I'd probably make the trip if they're still in operation. If not, does anyone know of a regular livestock auction house in, say, Snohomish or Whatcom Counties. I'm pretty sure there's nothing here in Skagit County.

Any info would be most appreciated.

The Auction is a live and well in Enumclaw. The Chicken auction is held at 11:00am on Saturdays. The only time it is closed is the 2 weekends for Christmas and New Years. There is a live band every Saturday, and you can have breakfast at the cafe. It is a lot of Fun!
