Thanks, you guys, for all your replies about my roo. He’s a Big Guy, probably close to 15lbs. RR, you’re right, it does hurt! And I can’t believe your roo came at you again, after all that you did! CF, thanks for confirming that 5 months is young for this kind of aggression – and I’m really sorry you had to cull such beautiful boys. WA4H, it's been warmer here, too, and he came at me when I was saying hi to the girls ... who were up on the roosts to get away from him.
It just seems to me that life is too short to have an aggressive roo, especially one this size. I’m going to try CRs, RWs and RRs suggestions – and see if I can find my old tennis racquet (LOVE that idea, Kaneke!). I’m also going to make sure I’m wearing jeans, boots and gloves – no more clogs and sweats in there for me. He gets one more chance – only because I worked too hard to get him through the pasty vent stage when he was a chick – but if he comes at me again with that kind of aggression, then it’s off to Camp Kenmore. And CL, your birds are beautiful – we’ll be talking, no matter where I am
