I jumped the gun. Ginger is not broody. I gave her a bunch of Spitz eggs and a bunch of Brabanter eggs. Now, I don't know which ones are which. I can't sell them on craigslist. I either have to eat them, sell them as eating eggs, or borrow an incubator from someone. Does anyone not too far away have an incubator they could lend me? Please.

My incubator is way too big, BUT, I have space and could incubate them for you, if you could get them here.

I have a Brinsea eco 20 you could use. But I dont know how I would get it over to you. Im pretty much stuck within 30 minutes of the Hospital.

what end needs to be up for hatching eggs? And how long will a broody sit on a nest? Will she stay broody as long as there are eggs under her?

I had numbered my eggs this time. And when I candled number 4 it had veins. Well I went to let them out this morning and to check on the eggs since today they are supposed to hatch today. Well number 4 is missing its gone. =( So I started collecting eggs again. I don't know if any of the others will hatch. Most of them were refergerated so now I am collecting eggs and putting them on the counter.

Since it sounds like we will be able to go to Monroe. I am willing to save some Am B eggs and RIR B eggs. I think flyrobin wants some for a "craft" project and starting the 10th I can save as hatching eggs.I will probably only be able to save a dozen RIR (for hatching) so maybe they could be shared.
Also IF anybody has their eye on any of my works that they would like. I can bring it with me to Monroe. Like the dragon for cmsdvm (

) and bell for jbear. If there is enough interest and wants, I could bring the trailer up. It is already loaded since it is also my storage area for the finished work.

Good News... I heard from my hubby last night...YAY ( hes away for military training) Hes coming home in a little less then 2 weeks... Bad news.... They had to pick the 17th to send him home. So sadly I wont be able to make it to the Monroe show....

I was looking forward to seeing all the chickens.... UGH so hopefully there will be another show sometime soon.

Great that he's coming home, but bummer to miss you at the show! There is the April PNPA show in Stevenson.

I know I was looking forward to meeting all the chicken peeps and seeing all your beautiful birds. Hopefully I will be able to make it to Stevenson... Have to wait and see if the dates match up with our schedule.
