Im still up and moving around. Picked my mares paddock today, moved some lumber around, took Chloe to the park, went shopping... Everyday things. Im still the one feeding and caring for every critter here except for the dogs. Im up and down all the time, but man it sucks.

Im feeling a little extra whiny tonight.

Hehe well I never made it that far with any of my 3. My daughter was born at 36 weeks 1 day, middle baby was at 39 weeks and my youngest was 36 weeks 6 days. I did these stretches throughout my pregnancies tho to help during labor. Well at least on my first n third... the second one well he was a trouble maker and broke my pelvis at 4 months so ya there was no stretching after that.

I did this on Google sketchup. It is raw...but you will get the idea. It should be fairly easy...I just don't know how. I have two "how to" books I have been reading. All the little squares are the in/out doors for the indivdual cages that will be inside the coop. this coop is for my seramas (tiny birds). I could not figure out how to make little "runs"/fences on the outside. Also the one big run will be a "grow" out pen.

Okay now to see if I can get it to load here: Okay it won't load as it is not an "image"....hmmmm let me try something else. okay, you should get the idea from this:

Good point - both of you. This is why I ask. So many good tips have been thrown my way...I really appreciate it.
When I get going..I will make sure to post progress. I will be asking a contractor friend of mine to come and give me a few starting pointers and maybe help me a bit...I was just trying to find a way to not have to pay someone...there is no way I will ask him to come and give me help/advice and not pay for his time.

to be fair.....If you were to get involved in some winter sports (cross country is a good one or snowmobiling). I don't like cold either. And you can easily live 30-45 minutes away from the grocery store in Winthrop too...depending on where you decide to live. Winthrop area is gorgeous for sure. But you are 2 hours away from the nearest "city" - Wenatchee. I have lived in Okanogan County long enough to know of MANY who moved in, had to live through a hard winter and moved out the next spring - at the first sign of thaw.

We have a pip on our first incubator hatch! One of the seven eggs of Hallerlake's that we are hatching - the Brabanter/Buff Orpington chick pipped sometime before 8:30 tonight.

And the Brabanter/EE chick was peeping when I swapped the rotate tray for some paper towel last night! So exciting!

No thank you on the winter sports. No thank you on the winter or the sports, to be precise. I spent all of January on location outdoors for ~14 hours a day in sub-freezing temperatures and I was one miserable bi***. February? I spent over three weeks on location in the Bahamas. Now THAT was more my style! I was still working ~14 hours a day, six days a week so I didn't get to play tourist but it sure was nice.

On chicken related news... The coop has a floor!! Linoleum goes in tomorrow as well as some of the walls. 300 feet of fencing was ordered tonight. Dorothy, my Splash Marans, still seems to think that I'm a redneck pirate and insists on climbing up my arm whenever my hand is in their temporary home and settling in to roost on my shoulder. Ridiculous!
