I save room in the landfills by burning everything I can. And by causing nasty stinky smoke tends to help keep at bay those who would like to RUIN control the rest of the state like they have done in King county!
We burn only paper & vaccine bottles.
Plastic & other materials burned do creat stink & can harm us, and wildlife, namely birds !
The toxins in burned plastic can actually make bird eggs so thin that hens crack them once they sit on them.
This happened bad a few decades ago.
The toxins do not just harm wild birds, but domestic ones also .

I had a friend who would put her coop cleanup pile on freecycle for the first taker. The poo was so popular that someone finally offered to come clean her coop once a month in exchange for the poo. Maybe you can find a nearby gardener who would willingly exchange some work for your excellent compost.
Right On ! This same thing happened to me with my rabbit manure !

Just wanted to share a story of my life in AZ and critters. We lived in a subdivision of about 3,000 homes 10 miles north of Phx in Cave Creek. Had a lovely home with fairly big yard and pool. Had rabbits and small barn concealed on the back covered patio. Homeowners assn kept sending letters about the most nit picky stuff. So bought a manufactured home on an acre about 3 miles further north and closer to Town of Cave Creek. Realtor said we could have animals!! Horses lived across the road. Got my first chickens. Built bunny barn with a/c for about 5k. Got pheasants, ducks, quail. Everyone around us also had an acre or more. Well, come to find out we were not allowed to have ANY animals. This was after we moved in and got animals and had already spent quite a bit on them. Town Marshall came for a visit after a complaint about my rooster, luckily we weren't home so he never saw what all we really had. Got the rooster decrowed. Went to Town Hall and shed tears. Finally got permission to have 4 hens. Lady complained about ducks being too loud. Had to give away big black crested duck. Kept call ducks. Got friendly via email with Town Marshall Adam Stein. Sent him one of my favorite bumper stickers, "When Chickens are outlawed, only outlaws will have Chickens"

Adam was from NYC and moved after 9/11 and didn't know much about animals. One of my red golden male pheasants was in a big cage by the front door outside when he stopped by and he later asked me what it was and if it had only one leg. Hee hee.

I guess all this doesn't really have a point......................

Thats horrible!! I actually lived in Phoenix for a year or so, so I know Cave Creek! Jeez I would have been all over that realtor!! You have to spend money there, as hot as it gets, and especially rabbits, had a old BF that had them in his back yard there, used to butcher them all the time!! Don't recall exactly where he lived but it was a subdivision!! That's funny about the pheasant!!

Humans were never meant to live so close together.
We had a nice large lot in CA when I went down to care for ailing Grandmother, and lickety split a developer bought the lot next door and of all the area, he sat a modular home 3 feet away from our fence SIDEWAYS !!!!!!!!!!!!! So in our nice peaceful koi ponded back yard, we had their back sliding glass door right there !
They could stand in their dining room & see right over into our secluded patio.
They had lots of little toddlers, and the kids would slam the slider & run up & down the fence.
Then they got 3 chihuahuas & the dogs would bark 24/7 at US IN OUR YARD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I so wanted to do something terrible to them.
Despite our asking they not use the slider and to be quite & respectful they refused & the wife decided to take in kids for a day care (unlicensed) I of course reported her, then they built a huge ugly 12 foot tall RV type shed roof in their backyard adjasioned (sp?) to my art studio...and proceeded to have the day care play toys & swing sets back there where the screaming & fighting kids played all day.............

We reported that too...and the Buidling Insp made them tear it down as it was too tall & TOUCHING the fence.
I hate those people with a passion I cannot fully describe.
No respect whatsoever !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now ya know why I grabbed up my birds & rabbits and made tracks for here, and love my land & "lawn mower barn"
Will probably never be able to sell the house down there now that there is that *&%$$ modular 3 feet from the fence set sideways ! We could actually sit on the patio & hear their toilet flush !!!!!!!

Rabbit cacciatore sounds great too ! One of my favorites !

It has been said by many Farmers lately (and wild life hunters) how absurd humans are in their eating habits.......Mainly how 'we' eat the nastiest meats like beef & pork yet refuse to eat the healthiest meats for us, like rabbit, deer, elk, horse & goat.
Weird, huh ?
The """Bambi""" issue I suppose.

Back to work for me !
Bean poles need to go up......and then I have to work finishing the Buckeye hen painting for the Buckeye Club.....here it is so far:

Apologizing for the flash glare.
I still have a hour or two work to do details & sheen on this painting, but looking great so far.....then I start on the Cock Painting.

Later peeps !!!!!!!!!!!!

More edible cutness for pettec63:

awe, i'd sooo take one of them babies....I could only have a bunny....son keeps trying to talk us into getting one... but told him he has to help care for the Chickens, before we ever decide on getting something that he could actually kill... more than likely I'd wind up having to care for the rabbit if he got one.... start small & see how it goes first I tell him... guess what, who's been the one taking care & spending time with the Chicks we have... yup u guessed it... Me.. his chicks probably have become "my" lil friends as much as they see him... *sigh*.... city boy..
