Chicken math strikes again! One would never work anyway, she'd die of loneliness! They're so social :) Welcome to BYC! I'm in Covington, where in Renton are you? We have 13 pullets...perhaps one roo in there, IDK yet...

They aint even mine! They are DW's from a previous marriage. He turned out to be little more than a donor.
If you married a gal with kids, they're yours now.

At least...I *hope* you treated them like they were yours, especially if their bio dad was a deadbeat donor only.

OK off to watch The Finder on Hulu and get to bed. Tomorrow while the hubby is working I plan to finish the inside of the coop so it's ready for my girls to grow up. I just want *something* done completely. Night all!

Quote: All Greg said is that is in the Hurricane Ridge area of the Olympic National Park. When I hiked up in that area, the family started the hike at the end of the Obstruction Point Rd. That road was only barely one car wide for most of the 9 miles out to the point.

From there we hiked south and exited the park at the Staircase entrance of the park. My folks had a friend that dropped us off at Obstruction Point, and then drove our car down to the parking area at Staircase. We didn't have any tents with us, and my sister and I had to share a sleeping bag. We did have a large plastic tarp with us, and we were fortunate enough that it only rained for about an hour one afternoon.

Well I have spent the past three days building a fence around my garden. I managed to save enough meds to be able to actually get things done. The fence was complete today. I managed to build most of it all by myself. Now I am working on fencing in the rest of the flower beds. I am tired of all the mud in the house. My dear Jet is rather good at bringing in more than an average amount of dirt. I spotted all the dogs playing in one of the beds just the other day. I am going to add hot wire to the top of the fences. It will be high enough that the nasty little dogs should be able to touch, but just at the right height to convince a very naughty mutt that he should not play in the garden.

The warmer weather has helped me a lot. I feel much better when it's warmer. I hope that everyone had a Mother's day today. We don't do anything around here to celebrate, but it was nice to have DH here to help me some. DH got home from Germany about mid day Saturday, and he is off to California in the morning. So I should head for bed now. I think that I will get to sleep next to DH for about an hour.

I am planning to plant my garden tomorrow, and finish up some of the fencing.

Well tomorrow will mark a significant date for DW and I. I guess that means I am gonna have take a walk out in the field to see if I can find any tansy and or lupine so I can pick her a bouquet.
Hard to believe how fast 20 years goes by.
Congradulations CR. That is quite a milestone. I wish you and DW many, many more. God Bless

My roo either really likes my daughter or I need to find a replacement soon. =( Last night I was putting them away and was checking over the babies (making sure they were healing good. And not getting into any more fights) when All of a sudden my daughter starts crying and says my roo bite her. She was wearing her brightly polka dot pajamas so I am thinking he pecked at one of the dots. He's gone after one of her sleeves before. But again it was a brightly colored sweater with sleeves that were huge and floppy. I checked her leg where she said he bit her and there wasn't any thing there.
