Went on ebay and saw RedRoosterfarm and she has some nice Seramas. I wish I had paypal. When I got married I already had paypal. 3 years later I got my account suspened because they said someone who wasn't me was using my account and I needed to add a credit card or debit card to get it back. Well by then My last name changed and for me to change my name for paypal I had to send in a copy of my marriage license. I guess they never got it because the next thing I know my account is blocked. I have not convinced my DH that we need a paypal account yet.
All you need to do, is get another e-mal address, like with yahoo for example & set up another PP account with it.

Webster Rd Feed Store in Graham as of yesterday had Cornish mixes about 2wks old I believe. You could ask them if they could special ordered any breed, they might be able to. 253-847-1448 is the store number.

Thank you! What are the best broiler breeds? Or is Cornish mix what I'm looking for. We just want meat birds (heaven help us if the kids name 'em!)

Now Princess is breathing with her mouth open sometimes. Moreso when I pick her up. She's just baffling me!! She has eaten some and drank some today though, but if all this turns out to be is a cold or something I'm gonna be a bit mad for going to buy the Corid when we didn't need it. What the heck is wrong with this bird, if anything? I'm tempted to just let them back into the group, dose everyone with antibiotics (not Corid), and call it good. *sigh* I hate being a worry wart!

Bummer. They have 25 minimum. I can't have that many here in the city. I was hoping to be able to {sneak} six in. That would put me at 9 birds, which is 3 over limit, but I figured they'd only be here for a few weeks anyway.

Does anyone know where I can get a smaller number?
Really, you CAN raise up 25, as you have to butcher them within 8-10 weeks, who's gonna know ?

Cornish Cross, and they are half bald & very messy !!
They also eat like there is no tomorrow & you should raise them on heavy protein like Flock raiser or Turkey/game bird starter, corid in their water with "Broiler Max" vitamins & electrolytes.
They grow FAST and must have high protein & vits like lysine, or they go crippled.

Better safe than sorry, I would add antibiotics for a few days.
And Corid.

I believe these were mixed with Amercania (sp). We chose not to get one because the Americana (EE) we got 2 yrs ago were very late to start laying & didn't lay every day which we wanted (1-2 times a week more like it). Cornish is suppose to be the meat bird from what I know. I liked the color of the EE & liked getting a blue or green egg but hubby wanted something that would lay more & since these were mostly meat mixed breed we decided not to get one. We had tried to eat the first ones we had, even had them in the freezer. I had cooked one & hubby finished it, I gave the other 6 to my mom to eat. Even though I hadn't named them I couldn't bring myself to eating them. The ones I have now are named lol.

Well the wampus cat was back last night, we saw him on the DVD .
He appeared about 2-3 AM & walked all around the same coop (I left the gate open on purpose) and he did not go in the trap.

So...Einstein is hard at work ALL DAY setting up an IR beam that will buzz in the cabin when the beam is broken (kinda like a bank alarm) and then he says he will sneek out & blow it away.

Also he has made a hardware cloth mini-cage that attaches to the end of the hav-A-Hart trap in which he plans to put a disposible OE cockerel.
The bird will be safe in the box...but will attract the wampus cat to come in to the Hav-A-Hart trap, and PRESTO!!!
We will have him !

OK, venison steak fahitas for dinner.........................YUM !!!!!!!

And Corid.

I think tonight I'm going to start that. I'm putting everyone back together. Just gonna have to for my own sanity because really, these birds aren't worth all this worry. I'm not even like this about my own kids. They fall down? Shake it off, be tough, you're fine! They get sick? We stay home and drink gatorade and eat soup, don't use meds or go to the doctor like...erm, ever? LOL OK, gonna continue the Corid for everyone, add antibiotics, feed them lots of applesauce mixed with the probiotic I have and call it good.
