We just had a doser come out & witch where we have water...very interesting to watch the guy.
he had a weird 'tool' he used also that I have never seen used before.
It had 2 'handles' of what looked like SS ...flat & about 1/2 thick, 2 feet long, that went into a 'joiner' of some sort and after that stuck out what looked like a CB/auto antannae.
State of the art 2012 model water witcher equipment.
Wow, my grandpa just used a willow fork............................................

So the water poo does sound like worms though? There's nothing else that could cause that? I don't want to deworm a whole flock if nobody actually has worms...should I stop the bleach water and just do ACV to help them stay balanced out?

Ok try these ones:

Wow! Thanks so much. I will send out e-mails today and let you know what I find out.

You are so great! But I disagree with your buddies that your head is going to swell. Me thinks your heart swells doing good deeds.

I'm so behind and I'm getting lost on all of this chemical talk. wow.

Can any of this 'prevention' be done organically? Just curious.
Ive always used cedar shavings in the coop, dusted with DE and put apple cider vinegar in the water. They arent confined to a small space at all and free range all day.
Its suppose to all be a natural way of preventing.
Im trying to do everything naturally and organic and we try to do everything chemical free But Im at a loss here. Ive done everything I thought would avoid it and here I have lice.

Anything I missed Id like to know about though!

Does Wazine and/or Eprinex also get rid of fleas/mites/lice, etc? I don't see any but it would be nice to be safe for now since I just brought new birds home today. Thanks ChickieLady!

never stop it.

pips&peeps uses a product called "Oxine" in all her water....I have read a bit up on it but do not know enough about it to speak out about it.
She uses it for water & cleaning coops & brooders.
I hear it is spendy.
I use the chlorine solution and it is CHEAP.
There is no reason to not worm your birds on schedule.
Routine maintenance.
If you never have, then you need to do it.
Watery poo (in any animal including humans) is a sign that the intestinal system is trying to flush something out.
What this could be worms or coliform bacteria.

Eprinex gets rid of all parasites.
Wazine gets rid of a few worms but not all.
It is a debate wether feather louse are effected by Eprinex as feather louse live on the feather & do not bite/suck as mites do.
Without biting the bird, the bugs may live on, is my opinion, hence the permethrin.

You're awesome. Thanks! Do you also do ACV or would the bleach solution just kill whatever good is in the ACV in the water? I'm going to Wazine today and Eprinex next week. My girls are only 14 weeks though...so it's not like they're super old and have never been wormed. I'll just be glad when they all start having normal poops again and I can relax. These are my last 2 new birds as well, so after they integrate I can just sit back and enjoy everyone! AND I'll have eggs in a month or two!
