I remember seeing TV tubes, in a museum once.

It wasn't free, but I think I scored.
Instead of $300+ to double the size of my run.
I just snagged 7 chainlink panels off of Craigslist for $250 (about 1/2 price) So now I can triple the run size. I'll feel better about the chickens being locked up so much.

Now to plan the dustbath area, a salad bar, and other enriching ideas.

The woman was very nice, and is interested in chickens as well. I sent her here for research.

Well we went to the PO and McDonald's...we'll all have stomach aches later :( Then the park and home for the little man's nap. He's out cold and the bigs are playing hide n seek in the backyard. The chickens keep giving away their locations because they are following both of them!

This is making the kids pretty mad, but I'm just watching and laughing like crazy. Love those chicks!

Can I come watch on the 13th-14th? We want to do meat birds next year, and NOT paying a mobile butcher would be nice...
Jess, wish I'd known, we just did a big butcher yesterday, ducks and chickens. We have all the equipment here, so if you want to use it next year, come on over. All we ask is for compensation for the butane for the scalding tank. (we are in Oly)

OK so the little newbies are so funny! The white EEx doesn't really want to come out of the hutch. Too shy. The grey EE/Marans x not only came out of the hutch, but after running form some big girls for just a few seconds, turned around and challenged our top 2 girls! She stood high and tall, fluffed up, squawked at them, and although she lost that time, it won't be long before I can leave her with the bigs without worry. Wow that was fast, we just got those 2 48 hours ago! Ricky our roo isn't terribly nice to them either, but I'm sure after just a bit they'll all be good to go. I decided to leave the hutch open so they can come and go as they please; at least they'll have a safe place to huddle if the drama gets too much in the run

Zgoatlady, re: Cream Legbars......ok, didn't realize Anniemom AND Cflaming (or Flaming Chicken!!!) both had them as well, and Cflaming is right around the corner from me.....need to move my Orpingtons on and maybe get some next spring. Maybe....if I have room! They are next on my list for trying for sure though. Love that Crele coloring and being able to sex them at hatch AND colored eggs! Those of you that have them, what color are your eggs? Can we see pics? More blue or more green?
My Cream Legbars are only 16 weeks today. I got some from each of the three lines Greenfire imported to have a nice variety. It will be a while before I get any eggs. I understand the eggs can range from blue to a bit greenish. Maybe the color depends on which line they are from.
There are some Legbar egg pictures on the Legbar thread.
