Just a few minutes ago, I looked at my roo and noticed what looked like a large quantity of blood on his beak. While I was wondering what he had killed in a gory manner, I wandered around the garden and found that he'd been eating Oregon grape holly berries. The juice looks exactly like blood. Messy guy had me all freaked out for a minute...

We caught a frog. The kids want to watch it for a while before we release it. I have water and a huge pile of grass in the container. Any ideas on how else to feed/keep it safe until we release it?

You need to eat bugs then regurgitate (sp) them and let the frog eat from yer mouth !!!

Do any of you guys use the "Ovations" thing on here? It's pretty cool! It's the thumbs up symbol at the bottom of the posts; I never knew I had ever gotten any ovations but I just checked and I have 6! I'm gonna start using it more, it's a really nice feature; also, now I have a way of bookmarking posts that are helpful to me.

I have given 10 and received 1. So far so good.

I dont reallly want to go THAT far. . . but it doesnt matter, they arent taking anymore birds.

What do you mean by process? I know of 2 butcher shops in Puyallup that will clean and dress the birds but you have to "do-in" the birds yourself

So I have a great hubby. We were gonna go on a date...to Costco. He called and asked me for the whole list and did the Costco shopping before coming home to take our son to flag football practice. Now we'll have a proper date even if he hasn't had a chance to breathe at all today. Hoping he's not too stressed out when they get back. Babysitter at 6:30!

Your his wife... you should know just how to de-stress him... just make sure the kids dont wander in lol
