Oh no, that is terrible!!! I hope that they will be allowed to rebuild and I hope that they had adequate insurance to cover it. It is going to hit, that area, very hard.

Harsh words? Moi? Methinks some folks might have slightly thin skin around here compared to what I am used to on Internet fora. From now on I will keep that in mind. I think calling other people's chickens "mutts" is pretty harsh, actually, (unless that's how they refer to their own chickens), and that was what I was responding to. I think I was actually rather polite about it. And for the record, I have been reading this thread for a couple of months, just haven't participated much until now.

So I guess the PC word we should use is cross breed. Because that is what we are talking about, right?
