I also don't lock my girls in the coop. I close and latch the run door after dark. They are always on their roost b4 sundown. They don't even bother to use the ramp walk up any more. they fly up to their roost, jockey for position and go to sleep. Amazes me that they are so punctual and so little fuss when on the roost.

My girls really enjoy corn on the cob and the cob too! But they really slow down in the egg department for the next two or three days.

Does anyone know if there are any bantams that consistently lay "large" eggs?

Well I have only had them a few months but so far my B FAV are doing really well.

Predators fear Fears no predator because he is rather confident his coop is fairly secure.

Well we have had a fun morning of school; I'm trying my hand at doing 2 days at a time to get ahead; probably won't last long, I think I burned him out a bit and we aren't quite finished for the day. Or he could just be burned out from staying up late at AWANA last night. Got the babe down for a nap and checked eggs. 8 already! Good job my little girlies, and one more was laying when I left!

Bragging about egg production is a very dangerous move especially when I will have room for 8 more come Sat. I can feel a shopping trip coming on!!! And I bet I could get my twin brudder by different mudder to help me. And maybe Miss will be our skapeee driver!!!!
