Hi all,
Just got through talking with Michelle. Sounds like Reber Ranch is setting up an account that we can put money on. Then Mr. Smith can use it to purchase the Layena Pellets. Also Michelle and Reber Ranch are trying to get a discount. Way to go Michelle. Michelle said she'd call when she got the final word back from Reber.

Just got home from work, had to go back and read about 5 or 6 pages. You guys all are great and have great idea's!!! Sounds like Russ is the closes to our new adopted chickens!

Russ would it be possible for you to talk to the owner or manager and tell him what we want to do. It would be nice to just call in our order when it is our turn. We could just tell them it is for the Michael account. My daughter (keri) wants to donate a bag every other month
Someone mentioned helping the family. I thought about that last night.. I did call and talk to Michael last night, he sounded very thankful and humble! I told him who I was and about the rest of you. he said he had heard from some. I said it looks like we will have your chickens taken care of for a while, but what about your family? are you getting enough to eat. he said they were doing ok. I asked if he had kids, yes an 18 year old boy. I won't go into detail but I have lots of experience with helping familys. I can usually spot one that just wants a hand out. I don't think Michael is one.
Don't know what his family's plans are for Thanksgiving, but I would be happy to buy a turkey (NO chicken) if anyone would want to add on. I have the day before T. G. off so I could deliver the stuff

I would love to help with Thanksgiving for the family. Are we looking at actually making something, or giving them the means to do so? If we're talking dry goods, I'll donate the stuffing and makings for green bean casserole, and I can make them a pumpkin pie. I could drop it off two days before to you Ron.

Chicken run is complete! Now the girls have access to the outdoors without me standing over them. They still didn't get the idea of the new coop door this morning... They ran to the other side of the coop!

I keep checking on them from the house, tho. I am glad I work from home!

I wish they were laying now so I could bake some stuff for thanksgiving with the eggs... lol!
