That's the same thing that I do.
The brooders that I'm offering are from the past two years and don't hold the capacity that I now require.
After the tubs they go to something that has a top. Right?

I have this huge cage that I got from freecycle it has 2 plastic trays for a floor so you can pull them out to dump bedding and clean them. A door that opens in the front and 2 doors on the top.

If this don't take you right to the video go to 2008 page and scroll down.

I use a pack-n-play for all but the tiniest chicks. I put an old shower curtain on the bottom, then just pull it out and hose it off.

Using a Rubbermaid tote for the ducklings right now till they feather a bit.

Old shower curtain? Yes I like that!
What a fantastic idea.

I really don't like taking the tubs out of my shed. Their 85 gal.
A Little awkward, would be best with two people.
I will have to eventually to give them a good scrubbing before game bird season.

Something that I find useful and is fairly inexpensive is plastic by the yard from a fabric store. It is with the tablecloth fabric usually on the roll racks. They have clear plastic there that is 5 feet wide. It runs $1.50 to $3. per yard depending on the thickness. Old shower curtains made me think of it. If you use a bathtub like me, and don't have an old shower curtain lying around, or if you want something thicker, this works great. The thick stuff is pretty much un-peckable. And because it is clear, I find it useful when I want to have a window into something also. We have used it to make green houses out of. A friend even used it double thick as a window on a cabin they had in their back acreage. (one thickness on the outside of the window and one on the inside with a 3 inch gap between.... Great for insulating)

I am planning to put this down on the floor of my coop because it is thick like vinal flooring, but is a bit cheaper.

Possibly, I'm looking at a probable relocation though, so I'm trying to thin the flock a bit and get rid of extraneous "stuff"

I'll know more at the end of January when their people talk to my people.

Lots of information on the rabbits there to help you decide if your ready for this type of pet. I am going to just keep smaller rabbits now.

Oh man, my big rabbits eat soooo much. They're always acting like they're starving.

Here's one on CL kind like mine.
A little modifying and it would be good to go.

I was thinking more like $10 though?

Is anybody on here raising pure bred ameraucanas?

Helaine. I know they are big. I will have to heed the warning about treats fattening them up, but they are the size I want to raise. I find small pets cute, but like a little bit of heartiness to my pets. Plus, I like the idea of having rabbits that have come from someone I feel I can trust.

I have help with cleaning up after both my chickens and will also have for my rabbits. But I think I can do most of it myself. May need a little bit of help with the litter tray too.

I have been thinking about having a worm bit directly under the hutch so I can compost and breed worms there too, so I won't have to go far with the litter. I am planning to do the same thing just outside the chicken coop. That will have to wait until spring, when I can get out there more and muck about.
