OK My younger sister (I am the middle child of 5) had a rooster that she had hand raised, but can't keep in the Crown Hill neighborhood of Seattle. So she sent it out to my house, so that I could take him to the auction. Alas! There is no auction during the holidays. So now my DH is going to make me help him do the dirty deed. Is it Karma getting back at me for scaring my sister with talk about how the bears and snake were going to get her? I have never had to help with the whole dirty deed before. It feels worse because I know that my sister hand raised the rooster, and he is like a spoiled rotten pet. But every time we try to put him in with the girls he tries to hurt them, and he is crowing up a storm. So I think he will be delicious tonight for dinner. I keep thinking roasted Chicken and all the trimmings. But first there is the dirty deed to be done.....

Kim great pictures. I just love that SD card slot, it's a lot easier.

I have thought about those wheels, but they would scare the heck out of Kala and she would try and run away from them and would be ten miles down the road trying to get away LOL

Kala has all the symptoms of a stroke.they say dogs can recover from a mild stroke anywhere from two weeks to two months. But What SCARES me. is she also has alot of the symptoms of a DYING DOG too. stop eating ( two days ago)stop drinking water(last night). We go to the vet tomorrow

Ron, I am so so sorry you have to go through this. Our pets are so precious to us and losing one is hard. I hope it is just something some medicine will take care of, at least for a while longer.

Tell Keri I am sorry too. I know how much she loves the dog.

Just a side note: Misery no longer lives at my house. She went to live with a very nice young adult woman. The Girl is looking forward to taming the evil beasty out the cat. I only have a couple of bloody wounds on my hands, so I am not very sad that Misery is gone. DH is very happy that Misery doesn't live here anymore too. They had been fighting over the room that we call DH's office. And so far it had been a draw on that fight.

So sorry to hear about your dog Ron.

I hate to post this, as I adore my Muscovies. But my husband says they need to be rehomed. So I am searching for a good home for them. As of today, they are 34 weeks old. All three girls are laying, and the Drake is friendly but protective of his girls. I hate to have to rehome them, but we are overwelmed with poultry, and I do not have the time to maintane a breeding flock of ducks this spring.

I have no idea what to ask for them, so make an offer. May even trade all four for a true Araucana.

If anyone is interested, please send me a message or email me at [email protected].

We are located between Poulsbo and Kingston Washington.

what I'm going through right now is JUST part of LIFE its tough but we will make it. I'm sure most of you have gone through times like this or close to it. Well, I got to get a nap

Ron, dogs lives are never long enough. Cherish the memories of good times and remember you gave that dog a great life, something not all dogs can expect. Perhaps her time to say goodbye will be stretched out for you, at least that is what I'm praying for!

thanks to you too, we have had many, many GOOD times, I just would like a few more if I can get them but not at the expense of kala once I see any pain we will put her to rest. I just see too much fight left in her right now
well going to let the chickens out for an hour. and Kala will probably be laying on the hill watching them
