Those are adorable geese. I love the idea of small weeder geese in my garden. I wonder if there are such thing? I wish I could have them here.

Seems as if everyone is a little bit quiet today. I am talking with a guy that currently lives across the street. We are thinking about room-mating. He has some health issues that I can help him with (as can he with some of mine). And the assistance on expenses would be great too. Here's hoping it works out.

Oh, Weavegarden, I do hope it works out! I guess I've never really understood the difference between a weeder goose and any other goose other than build? Am I missing something?

I am so happy that I am not alone on wanting a tail.

I have had people think I am insane for wanting one. I am really sure that those people are just not interesting enough to have a tail.

But I can't help to think that you could walk into a room and would very quickly know how everyone was feeling just by how they were holding or twitching their tails.

Then I stop and wonder what it would be like if I had an ugly tail, like a really sick rat’s tails.

I am really sure that I would want my tail to be fluffy and have some really nice rings of color on it.

I also worry that people would step on my tail just to be mean to me.

I am fairly sure I would accidentally step someone else’s tail and that I would feel really bad about it.

This may explain why I am the way that I am.

Thanks Kim, please do. I don't know anywhere else to ask except here and the feed store, and I can't go in there till payday, cause I get my checking account in trouble buying treats like cob for my girls.


Oh yeah, 3 laying now. I caught my White Rock in the act, and I think one of the EEs is joining in the fun, not sure who #3 is though, I have lots of squatters now. DH and I run our hands over their head just to mess with 'em. Who would have thought messing with chickens' heads could be as much fun as messing with our kids' heads??

I got 3 roosters out of my backyard today. I kept my two phoenixes and my EE roos, moved them in together. So far everyone is alive, although Ned (one of my Phoenixes) is threatening that status if he doesn't quit being a poop head. I moved them in with the Turkeys and ducks, which has been very interesting (and yes, I know, some people frown on that, but they free range together all day, so what's sleeping together? I figure that if they were going to get something from each other, they would have keeled over by now) I moved the bantams and other little ones into the rooster side of the big coop, and threw the two big girls that I got from Tailfeathers in with the big girls. So EVERYONES pecking order got upset today.

At least the fruitstand opens back up tomorrow, they were closed for the holidays and I'm getting stink eye from everyone about the lack of lettuce, I'm afraid to walk out my back door.

I know that there are regulations about selling eggs in Washington. I met a couple here in the Claw that had gotten the needed permits to sell organic eggs. I asked as many quetions as I could that day, but there is a lot that they wouldn't discuss about the process. I am still wondering if I would have to get all the certifications just to donate eggs to the food bank.

I just wanted to show how stressful it has been at at my house for the last 2 weeks or so.

LaSombra ever heard don't ask don't tell. It is easier to beg forgivness than to recieve permission. I have heard that you can sell from farm but if you go off site there are some things to deal with. All of our eggs are sold from the farm but sometimes people forget to take with them so I take em to them

Note to self plot shortest route from Kirkland to Everret. There are laying EE's there and they will be unattended Feb 28.

Justbugged did you say you have a bator? is it still air or circ. If it is still I think I have all needed to make it recirculate. I am geting close to desparate for a bator and may end up building my own. If I build it will not be very portable but will hold lots of eggs just because of what I have to build with. Top secret !!!
