We are still waiting for that perfect day If I could just get a perfect day ONCE I would be happy.

SPEAKING of happy I am pretty happy right now. Looks like I got my LG working. And it looks to be working fine with my fan installation.

I know we are kidding here. But I do know someone who got tetanus. Really a terrible thing. He was hospitalized the rest of his short life. So better safe than sorry, even for chicken thieves. Also, they aren't saying every 10 years any more. I think it is 5, but you can get it sooner.

OK.... Back to nonsense!

Ah the ever elusive perfect egg day......... Do they really exist.

My girls have been all over the map lately. 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 - all of these in the past couple weeks in variation. Still no 12 for 12.

My mother has been getting some pretty crazy egg laying at her house. Cuckoo Marans, Welsummers, gold sex links, and EE and a Deleware. All laying within 2 weeks of each other. She has a better ratio than I do right now. 3 huge egg layers and the rest little tiny dark pullet eggs. I like seeing her so excited. And her ladies love her so much.

Hey chicken rustler--sounds like my day! I finally talked the husband into going out canoeing. It was a beautiful day down here (for January that is). When we got back I started climbing out and didn't warn him. He was off balance, the boat rolled and dumped him into the water! And unfortunately he had all his checkbooks and cards stuffed in his pants--he was ticked!! (I could not stop snickering to myself, though). Fortunately he got a shower, dried off and was able to laugh about the whole thing. Take care of yourself and get a shot if there is any question.

Chookchick were ya by any chance on the Black River. We went right by there on our way home from Steamboat island with the new coop. I took the scenic route so I didn't have to do freeway.

Last time I was asked about a tet shot they said if ya can remember the last one ya don't need one. Well I remember that they are a little uncomfortable. so that must be good enough to not need one.

ETA the LG has run PERFECT all night and I WILL be setting eggs today.

Day 2 of the 29 day giving challenge for me today. I am trying to figure out what I want to give today, and what I want to read to get me into a giving mood. I am afraid I need a little bit of a boost because I am still sad and mad about my chicken dilema. Somehow the feelings of hate and the feelings of giving have a hard time residing in the same (albiet oversized) body.
Time for an attitude adjustment seminar I think. Did anybody else have those when they were in college? Think mine will consist of White Zinfendel tonight. Maybe a little bit of artichoke dip and fresh bread on the side since I don't need a hangover to start tomorrow with.

Suburbanchickchick - I haven't forgotten about you. Just having probs with my scanner.

Weaveagarden - I had a behavior modification session last night... it's called having a beer

I got a my first green egg this am! woo! Right next to it was a little pullet egg from my BR. It looked so tiny compared to the EE egg!

My wife named the EE - Verde, Spanish for green.
