I'm sorry about your parrot

It's always hard to lose a pet... and the anniversary of its death always makes it fresh in your mind again. I've never known any parrots so don't know what their personalities are like, but I know they can live to an old age so you probably had him for quite a while...

HI L0rraine How is the Buff Silkie doing? They are almost a year old April 16th Wow

Cackling Hen, He's still doing great. He's quite the little dude - very protective of my Black Silkie hen, though I keep hoping to get them their very own 'color-matched' mates. It looks like I've found a blue rooster for my Black hen, but still need a buff Silkie hen for the roo (anybody out there?). Here's a pic ... How are ALL of yours doing??

Ahhh what a cutie... Mine are all doing great. I have 3 Bantams (RIR Partige Cochin and Jap) that love to be mamas. Have hatched 19 chicks so far. Now my Bantam RIR is sitting again on 8 Glad all is well take care thanks for the pic and update...

Good morning all, first of all, Chicken Rustler::: Home made bisquits and gravy ! Yum, that sounds so good, I am having a hard time finding a decent bisquit recipe I can eat, cuz I have celiac disease cannot eat gluten.
And as for the chicks, 2 hatched out just fine in the night, I want everyone to guess what kind they are, I have BCM's, Welsummers, and Blue Splash Marans in the bator, and these little chicks have no leg feathers...and are very blonde...?
Still hoping to get more pips today, I have put 4 thermometers in the bator a few days ago, cuz I was so worried about humidity, all seems to be going well.Pictures are not in order here, so guess what kind of chicks these are !

you would not believe the looks we got from people driving by, surprised no one crashed as they did double takes and no doubt alot of neck sprains.

and a day early~~! How exciting... We still don't know if our rooster is fertile, because some of the eggs are from friends with roosters, but very exciting none-the-less!!! Will post pics when the chicks are visible~ (^^)/

I too lost my baby Quacker almost 14 years ago. My how time flies. He was in a huge cage with a Nanday they were good friends but Boss couldn't fly and I think he tried to fly for some reason and got beat up trying. Poor baby , Buster was so stressed when I got home and found the poor thing in the bottom of the cage. I was miserable but had to take the postal exam the next day. Now 14 years later I'm getting chickens, just can't get over the feathered friends.

And I used to take my New Zealand for walks on his harness. We got lots of odd looks. A rabbit the size of a dog will get looks.

well, out of 6 eggs, I have one olive-egger hatched, one olive-egger pipped and one BCmarans popped. The marans is not very active, though, so I'm losing hope on it. We'll see. The other three are making me wait.

Just got home a little while ago with 6 Wheaten and Blue Wheaten Marans, and 1 Black Copper Marans. Three boys and four girls.
