If anyone is heading to Tri-Cities. . . There's someone over there with an extra Lavender Ameraucana cockerel. . . nab him for me and send him my way!

Tri-Cities is SOO far away.

ChickieLady: How old are the chicks? I'd say once they've got decent wing feathering, some shoulder and tail feathering, I'd move them in with the layers if you have a very large run or free range. Otherwise, wait until the chicks are about 5 plus weeks old. Then, you can grab mom and the chicks, move em in, and see how everyone behaves. Make sure to watch them at first though, see how things run. . .

I will once I know we are coming out that way. Would you be interested in meeting out at salt creek near Joyce if thats the closest I get? If not I do understand.

Salt Creek is fine. Anywhere from Forks to Sequim is fine.

Well as I mentioned there will be another round of chicken killing going on later in May either the 22nd or 29th. It's okay if you cry here.

I am good at giving hugs for anyone that needs them.

Oh and French Rooster stew is very delicious. I felt a little evil for eating my sister's very nice Cuckoo Marans rooster. He had just talked way to much to live at my house.

I now have cheese making class envy.

Where is the class being held?

I live in Woodinville along with RonB. I am not looking for a roo, but always looking for more chicken friends. And it's great when we chicken people live close to each other. Where in Woodinville? Ron and I both live off of Woodinvillle-Duvall Rd. Great pictures by the way!

Call from the PO this morning at 5:30! Perfect timing as I had just dropped the girls off at the sitter. 15 chicks and 8 poults all alive and kicking. The poults are friendly little things, when I peeked in the box they all came running over like "OH! HAI!! Love us!!" One of my Narragansetts seems a little lethargic, but the others found the food and water right away.

Pics later tonight after I get out of class.. phone camera takes good ones, but the red from the lamp is horrible.

I need to change my signature, it's way out of date. Someone tomorrow... PLEASE PM me and remind me to put the 'bator in lockdown.

ETA: Introduced Lucie Goosie to the ducks yesterday, they played stalking each other back and forth.. then she got tired and cold, so she decided to snuggle with mom while I finished chores.
