I called the Enumclaw auction because I was curious myself. The number is 360-825-3151. They are held every Saturday. They start with poultry at 11am and follow with plants, then sheep and goats, then cows, calves and pigs.

There's also one in Chehalis http://www.clmauctions.com/index.shtml

And
Toppenish http://www.toppenishlivestock.com/sale-days/

and
Oakville http://camofarms.com/

I
think there's one in Davenport also but it'd be the longest distance.

Hope this helps!! I haven't been to an auction yet but I am really wanting to, so I've been looking them up.

The Toppenish auction is about 45minutes from my house and they don't do chickens. If you need a pig, cow or sheep you can find it there however!

OK, here is some action shots for you all :

Does anyone in the south sound have a 2month old RIR Rooster that they'd like to rehome? I have a friend in Elma that wants to match one up with her girls. He'd have a great home! Let me know!
Thanks!

Congrats on the chicks!!! We locked down last night and are due to hatch on Friday. We have 19 Marans & Cochin eggs left and I'm anxious to see what we get! Also expecting Muscovy ducklings at any minute. I predicted Monday (2 days ago) as her due date, but none as of yet.

On a sad note, when I went down to check on momma duck this morning, I found one of my 10 wk old BLRW pullets very weak and lethargic in the coop. With the weather as horrible as it's been, we hadn't noticed anything wrong with her. She seems very thin, and very sleepy, but not much else to go on. We've brought her in and have her in the sick pen, and have been making sure to give her water every hour or 2. Well we put food and water in with her, but she's not taking any in on her own, so we've been dunking her head and making her drink that way. I'm really at a loss as to how to treat her. There are no other apparant symptoms.

The rest of the birds seem totally fine.

Maybe worms ?
Or could she have gotten into any weed killer/brush killer/ rat killer ?
I would do some food grade DE (just a dust, afew sprinkles) on her food, something tempting even, like a bowl (1 cup or so) of freshly dug nighcrawlers, with a spinkle of DE.
If she will not eat the worms, chop them up like spaghetti, add a bit of water and suck them in a syringe, and squirt down the throat...they have to be chopped up good and the syringe has to be big (no needle, just the syringe)
In the water, add a little karo corn syrup or even just a few spoonfuls of sugar in a half gallon of water.
Do the same syringe trick with the sugar-water.
I am no vet, but she sounds over wrought with worms to me, best of luck !
Don't know what else I would do....check for parasites, lice/mites?

update:

the light brahma is down to 11 eggs if i havent mentioned it alreday

i now has a coshin who is broody but she is only on golf balls. (has been broody for a week now)

Bad news:

during that freak rain storm somehow the dog crate in the kennel the bantm was in got totally wet. so the eggs and the straw got wet.
i doubt any of the 8 eggs are any good now... they were not hot to the touch like they should. dammit! it was only 3 days from hatch date! and as far as i could tell all were fertile. i still left the eggs with her but put them on dry straw......

so my hopes lie on the brahma's 11 and any that dont hatch on time will be moved to the coshin and i will kick the bantm broody out of its pen.

atleast all 31 of my chicks are doing good.
