I need to re-home an AKC Yorkie puppy as soon as possible. He is being overly aggressive with another male litter mate. He is not shown any aggression with his sister or any of the other dogs in the home. I have found that the only way I can stop the fight when they get going at it is to actually choke the pup until he finally lets go. I have tried a number of other methods, including hitting them with a full on blast of water from the hose, and was not able to stop the fight. He hasn't broken the skin on his smaller brother, except for a few shallow marks, but I am afraid that it is only a matter of time. He is a bit like a Pit Bull when he gets mad. I am also becoming a little bit afraid of breaking up the fights because I have been bitten a couple of times. They just aren't thinking when they are like this. This is happening 2 or 3 times a day. Otherwise the two pups get along just fine.
He wonderful with people, and never shown any aggression towards anyone or thing except for his brother. He never goes at it with is sister. The older dogs are trying to stop the fights too. He okay with chickens though he will kiss them with passion. He also will get into the coop if he can, and muck about. He has been known to get quite nasty smelling that way. He has been raised around cats, but I think he will chase them if they will run.
I am looking for a home that will take him on as a forever dog. He is quite cuddly, and is crate trained. We always give a timeout out when we break up the fight. We are very consistent with that. I am asking 400.00 for him, not including his AKC paper work, and I am willing to take payments with a written contract. He just needs a home without his smaller brother. He is very healthy and has 2 sets of shots. He was born January 8th 2010.
If you or you know of anyone looking for a male Yorkie, please help keep his little brother safe.
