to the Washington Thread. I haven't read about anyone on the island yet, but I do know that there are a few people up towards Ferndale. I also want to think that there is someone from around the Alger area. I haven't seen them post since the beginning of the year. But in any case you are still welcome to join us in our addiction.

OK, I would love to buy some goat milk from you, a few gallons, and freeze to use during the month~
Are you making cheese yet ??? YUM !!
I love the brie !!!!!

Like you have time, huh ?
It is so hard to spread yourself around so many different time consuming chores.
And milking has to be done on a regular basis, hard to do when your back goes...
That is why I am getting out of the rabbit biz, and just retireing to chickens, quilting and painting...and I may get a loom, when the house is built....

I just use one of the keychain LED flashlights from the feed store. I'll show it to you Saturday if you want.

Cool! Think it will see through Marans eggs? That was my issue and why I bought that darn thing lol He loved it! It is SO bright that even if you shine it on your hand and look at it it will still be blinding lol.

I got a real candler from Stromberg's, a plug in type, and it can barely see through dark eggs.
I can see that there is either a 'body' in there or a clear, but cannot see veining or movement.
Bummer.

So let us all know if it shows up today !!!

He says Friday afternoon. I hope he shows this time, or I'm going to have to order some plans, and talk to my ex husband about using his saws.

OMG!!!!!!!!! Friday ?!?! Why is he taking a whole week ????? I would be really upset !
Will your pullet be OK ?
Maybe you can keep her seperate like in a little dog crate ??

Justbugged~ I told the woman at Dennis Co today that you were very happy with her service, she was very happy to hear that
big_smile.png

I also told her that we are starting to collect these and for her to order more, especially of farm stuff, ducks, pigs, sheep, cows, chickens, barns, tractors, etc.
She does have a few new ones now that are big, like about 6" long...one is a cruise ship, and another is a school bus.
The school bus is cute !
Both are really big and still only $6.99 !!
Isn't some one here a bus driver ?
So today I got the cow with nursing calf like yours and raggety ann and andy.
Next shop I am getting the cat and there is still the rubber ducky, very cute.
I want to log on to the web site that makes these things and see if we cannot order some, or ask Dennis Co to order them for us.

OK I have missed WAY to many days to get all caught up! This rain has made me so tired and depressed all I have been doing is laying on the couch and watching TV with my kids! My DH got fired on thursday so I will be going back to working at the shop a couple days a week. Blah...

We got the cat!!!! He was in the trap yesterday! I called the Everett shelter to make sure they were open and see if they would take him and they said yes!

So we got in the truck and drove there...

As my DH was picking up the cage out of the truck I saw him pulling on the wire that opens the cage. I was in the middle of saying "why are you doing that your gonna let him out" and out he ran

I just stood there for a min. with my hand over my mouth in horror then went inside and told them what had happened. I hope he won't make it back, my DH says it was atleast 5 miles away and he would have to swim and go over the freeway and tressel to get back. It was still kinda funny though and finally he is gone!

I've been checking on her most days. She seems to be doing okay. The waiting is hard, but what can I do?

So many post, too many to catch up on. But I have a little story to tell about my girls.

Today I was out cleaning the coop and fixing things around the place and decided to take a little rest and watch the little women in the run. The EE's are Meg and Jo and the speckled sussex is Amy, the Welsummer is Beth. Well Meg and Jo were just busily chatting away, eating grass and bugs and what ever they could find and generally having fun. But the the sun hit and boom! They both layed down on their sides, legs stuck straight out and wing raised, soaking in the sun! I don't know if this is normal but it was funny because as soon as the sun went away they jumped right and went back to chatting and bug chasing...

This is why I got chickens to sit in the sun and watch them entertain me...

I saw something similar the other day, too. There was a patch of sun in the run, and all the chicks tried to lay in it. It was a pullet pile.
