Hey all, if anyone remembers me. . . I'm back!!

Well, my Araucanas, Ameraucanas, and Marans are now laying, and I have a new girl beginning her cycle each day. . . My latest is a Marans from my most prized grouping - The "Bev Davis Girls" - Her very first egg is REALLY dark, and I'm expecting it to get even darker through the weeks! So excited!!

Also, my Tolbunts are, thank goodness, still alive and healthy - And still, one boy and one frizzled girl. Boy am I a lucky person.

I don't have anything to show but we're going on $2 Tuesday. It's the cheapest way for our family of six to get in! We went and dropped off our 4-H Rifle posters today and got all excited to see it beginning to come together.

My husband just asked if we were going to have little BYC name tags with our screen names on them, lol. I already told him to expect to spend some time in the chicken barn!!!

Just home from Rancho Chico's...two WONDERFUL margaritas and SHRIMP fajitas for dinner......yum. Notice I did not have chicken....the "girls" would have smelled it on my breath and would have pecked my eyes out.

Gimme some rain. . . We've been through a terrible drought for over a month now. . . (Which is SO weird, us being the rainiest place in the continental US)

So called "fun work" on a hot day...but all the same, maybe a culvert pipe is what is needed ?
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ I hear ya !

We have actually looked into installing a culvert pipe. But the County says "NO" due to the fact that it is an artisian spring. "sp?" But it really isnt THAT much work or all that hard to clean out. And I dont mind doing it for my mom. Plus cleaning out the crick is when I harvest watercrest.

A year ago, when we had our koi farm, I had watercress planted everywhere...and it will grow just about anywhere damp...it is good ! And peppery like Arugula, which I also LOVE and have tons of~
And as far as the crik goes, I would do what I needed to do to prevent floods of my property and protect myself, and my animals and children, and would not TELL the county.
Here in WA they would have to conduct a study and bring in alot of "professionals" tp look at the stuation and put in their recommendations as to what could be done.
It is expensive, and time consuming...and frustrating !
Get a few pots, or a bath tub, fill with dirt (not compost) and plant the watercress seeds...keep it wet and not too much sun...and presto ! It is so good, good for colds and illness, in soups.
