Well, I waited as long as I could so called the lab at noon...and asked at least for a preliminary...and doc said looks like MG, and I told her I was giving Tylan inj...and she said that is excellent for this.
She said she has seen the left sinus plugged, and has done swabs and cultures but apologized profusely that she had to be gone yesterday as was not able to work further on the bird, but so far just MG.
She said she would call today when she was done, and she did not despite my sitting on the phone and holding my breath....so now I am worried she saw something else...that could well be the issue.
She asked if I wanted to serum culture to further her diagnosis, I said no, I believe her and besides all these birds here are on Tylan, and she said then any bacteria left will tehn be destroyed by the time we ever take blood....but she did not call.
Wether that is good or not is yet to be seen.
Maybe she found something else ?
All my birds are on Tylan water and the sick ones are getting shots 1X a day.
And so we continue to waite until she calls....
That's all, the birds look OK today, still mopey and a little slow.
But eating, drinking, foraging even though a little slow and complaining.
On a lighter note I have pics of my little man Olive Egger who is a ways from the sick birds and these guys are 2 1/2 mo old now, and so awesome !
Anyway his feathers shine from Violet to turquiose, green to dark purple with every movement, he is gorgeous !
He is half BCM and half Blue Ameraucana...isn't he awesome ? (I cannot hardley wate to see the eggs, this hatch was 13 eggs, and all pullets but this 1 roo. Amazing, 12 hens and 1 roo, he will need help!)
I am looking for names for this little man, any ideas ?
Anyone have a name, pitch in !
he is so cute !
and here is a better pic of Roscoe, Blue CM roo...
