Holy Cow, where is this all happening ?
Are you babysitting horses for winter ?

Its happening on Bainbridge Island tomorrow... The horses are coming to stay with me for a month, until the other rescue has room for them. They are both around 30 years old, these two girls are older than me. So they deserve and will be pampered while they are visiting me.

Well my friends, Chloe is all cleared up from the hives... Tomorrow will be the tell all as she is now completely off her medication.

I have a very long day ahead of me. So I will talk with you all tomorrow evening.

G'Night!

you don't know Forks.

We drove through there stopped at a small store/gas station I believe it was two summers a go.
Looked like any other small town to me but of course not living there is a whole different story.

Please expand on your comment what you meant?

Have idea for you but first need to understand that comment as I may need to adjust the idea.

My friend will take care of them, especially since all of the ducks are gone ~ lol!~ they are really hard to put away for people they don't see all the time.

Wish you were going!!! My husband is actually coming this year. I am a little nervous he might get bored, surrounded by poultry addicts.. haha

well, I don't know about customers, by my chickens sure think it's time to hatch chicks! I've now got 4 broodies out there. crazy girls... I just love broodies, though. They're so cute and cuddly... well, the ones that don't get mad and peck, anyway. hehe

There are very few people interested in the thought of chickens, even fewer who have them - And the people who do only want hens who lay enough eggs to keep them out of the pot. Also, I doubt people here want to pay much over $3 per chick. Now, in Port Angeles and Seqium, yes, I can count on buyers - But this is just a logging and Twilight town.

Sorry if my comment seemed too vague or harsh.

This is the big egg the light Brahma hen laid right after she did the deed with the Silver Cuckoo Rooster "Salt"

We have another with black neck and saddle hackel names of course..."Pepper"

The hen was complaining and b****Y all day....she felt much better after the lay.
The flash sure washed out the nice light brown color...now I gotta go back and read posts I missed, and today I intend to take a few hours off working here...yeah right.

Wow, 4 ????
I have never had a fall broody....just spring and summer.
And they were not so cute and cuddly when the chicks are moved on...one BO I had was screaming and PO'd for weeks, screaming the wratching noise at me...her chicks were 5 mo old and gone and she continued to scream until I sold her...
lol.png
That took care of the screaming.
Geeze, she was even louder than the pen of Guineas.
