No clue what it is...but looks neat. I sold a house, a few years ago, that had geodes cut in half (showing the inside) and then they were placed amongst the tiles in the shower wall. It looked really neat looking.

Now that CR posts about Thunder eggs...those where what was in the shower. Are geodes and Thunder eggs the same? I wonder?

My experience is to leave kids and DH at home if you ever want to get any real shopping done. I find I can be much more productive this way.

Who is the frieght carrier and are they coming from that SoCal guy ?
I hope they are OK !
How long does it take ?
I am interested if I ever ship a bird, I thought you had to drop the birds off at a major airport and be at YOUR major airport to pick it up.

When were they shipped? isn't it supposed to be overnight or 1 day? I had some birds shipped from Arizona, they were shipped on a Monday and showed up Wednesday morning. They came right to my local PO. They called me when they got there and went and picked them up.

Pips&peeps is just from Eastern WA, but her birds took 2 days to get here. The Shamos I'm getting are indeed from the SoCal guy, so I'm expecting them to arrive tomorrow. As for how it is done, I'm not really sure - They're shipped in poultry boxes, not sure if they even vary in size, and are supposed to take 2-3 days. It is recommended, though you're told not to, to put some fruit in the box so they have a juicy material to eat. And no, you don't have to drop them off at the airport.

As Cowgirlgrace said - The PO calls you when the birds arrive, and you go to pick them up.

Could it be this?
An ancient coconut palm relative (coconuts are unique enough to be in there own genus)

Or this?

Currently it is thought that current cultivars of Coconuts came from India but when the Coconut family was thriving...the eastern coast of South America and western coast of Africa has the most fossilized coconut relatives. So its plausible Washington might have some fossils of these palm fruits.

I dunno. Maybe you are pulling our legs?

i think an aggregated quartz rock. picture quality is not really good enough to go beyond that. otherwise it could be a manmade aggregate rock leftover from past construction.
its not a geod or thunder egg. and if you are still not sure. take a hammer to it and check. it doesn't look like fossilized poo. i seen dino poo. its brown, normally flat. and smells old like other fossils.
oh try putting that in water, see if it sinks or floats. the helps narrow it down more, though i looks like it will sink....

Hey, if anyone is interested, I'm quite close to selling this handsome Wheaten Marans cockerel.

Today, for the first time ever, I had an actual fight break out in the bachelor pad. I went over, hearing a bunch of ruckus, to check out the scene. . . Both my Wheaten and Blue Wheaten cockerels were tattered, wet, muddy, and had bloody combs. I figured, "gosh, why would they ever fight? And what stopped them?" So, I went on looking through the scattered crowd of bachelors, and noticed my Blue Ameraucana was perched up where they sleep, obviously scared and obviously missed the fight by a hair. His tail was tattered and very wet. . .

Then, I noticed my Jersey Giant cockerel in the back corner of the bachelor pad, perfectly dry and neat, but sounding quite the alarm. The fact that he was doing this made me worry that he was telling me a predator had come around, and the actual fight was at the predator. So, I approached him, and looked around for signs.

I didn't see any signs of a darn predator, no, but instead a completely upside down chicken. I was on the verge of tears, running towards him, worrying he was dead. . . It was my gorgeous black Ameraucana cockerel, Hades!! He was matted in mud, his comb was entirely bloodied, and he was gasping for air. I quickly, carefully picked him up and ran inside. When I washed him off, dried him off, and checked for wounds - He was so weak he could barely even stand. I was SOO upset. When I put him back out, what happens? The Wheatens attack him. Again!

So, aside from the fact that he's covered in mud all over again, the Wheatens are now thrown in the breeding pen to deal out their own issues.

If this continues, I'm eating one, keeping the Blue Wheaten, and selling the pictured Wheaten.

me want! have someone travel to leavenworth for The christmas lighting in the next 3 weekends (3 weekends of it yes.) and just throw him into my chicken pen. my parents won't notice another roo. and i have plenty of roos to put him in his place even the black jersy giant isnt in charge (he thinks he is) my cowardly brahma roo is the boss and tries to refferee everything between hens fighting hens and some rooster too.
if he cross bread with my EE's and other chickens would the eggs be blue? or atleast blue some point in a generation or 2? he is handsome though. lawn ornaments or a scapegoat for the coon would be nice too, or he could kick its butt for me... all the chickens would get protein then!
