lol If it was just a dull pain, I would still have one now and then. I can handle dull pain, but the searing pain, like hot iron being shoved in my joints, I can't handle.

My family thinks its all in my head, and hey! Maby it is. But I still wonder and sometimes want a little sipper.

.. this happens to a friend of mine ... tisn't in yer head.

so what caused it is what we are trying to figure out, and how long has it been going on with your friend ? Over a year ?

DW got a blue egg again today. She is getting so eggscited about this.
This afternoon I was over talking to the neighbor. We were in his garden which also serves as free range chicken space. All of th sudden I see movement and look over to see one of the EE's hens chasing Roberts big dawg. Tex runs like crazy until he gets close to us then stops and the EE stops tex starts walking to us and the EE chases this happened a couple of times and finally tex turned and jumped toward her. She took off game over.

I was looking at where our goat sheds had blown over and Had silly idea come to mind. Since the sheds are now out of the way I could take a tractor and scoop the nannie berries for our new planter boxes. This stuff has been cooking for about 2 years so should be just about prime right.

I was wondering about non vegetable protein sources. I've heard about canned cat food. Wanted to know about cost effective sources. I have too many chickens to be feeding them canned cat food, tuna and mealworms. Since I have breeding pens the chickens don't get to free range everyday. They have to take turns so wanted to supplement. However I agree that kelp is great, so is flax and rice bran. All bulk items that can cross over to the horses! Isn't Hoegger goat a mail order? If anyone wants a less expensive source of kelp you can get it in the wholesale fertilizer supply houses. I buy it in 50# bags for making organic fertilizer. I think Wilco in Puyallup has it and Wilber Ellis in Kent/Auburn same exit as the race track on the other side.

Ohhh .. Right. Now that you say non veggie, I remember that.. Yes hoegger is mail order but have always been nice. I don't remember the size of the kelp they carry ...

How about a rotisserie chicken from freddies?

Or you looking for a daily thing? just brainstorming here...

Is there anything wrong with feeding them dry cat food? Maybe soaked in milk?

crow eggs ! Funny how some of them lay a beautiful blue egg and some lay a beautiful olive green egg...and they are KA-razy birds !! I have one that lays a pinkish brownish egg too, so out of the 3 I kept, I have a pinky-brown egg, a brite clear blue egg, and an olive egg.
and they are flighty !
Nannie berries, huh ?

CR, I hear that goat poop makes good compost and fertilizer.

Occasionally Ill drink something strong and it will make my arms and all hurt a lot. I dont know why. A few other people have said they have it happen on occasion.

Do you normally get snow there or is this out of the ordinary ?

We get snow, just not a lot at one time. the average is around 20 inches. Also most of the time it is so windy that the snow just drifts. Todays snow was very dry and we have very little wind. The winds come tonight and tomorrow.

she doesn't know.. she figures it is some sort of allergy. it was wine that did it typically. It started about 3 years ago. She doesn't drink wine anymore.
