Good - my paper shredder is full, as is my recycle bin. I use pine shavings now, I thought that the inks in the paper may not be good for them, or they may eat and choke on the paper; but I line the poo pans with newspaper, and they don't eat that.

I think if my DH worked from home, I would have to run away on a weekly basis. His two days off in a row throws me off. We are not used to him being home two days out of the week, for the past 3 years he's only been home one full day of the week. lol Now don't get me wrong, I love having him home, I'm just still trying to get used to his new schedule.

Be careful about identity theft. You dont want to start receiving bills for high end oyster shell and fancy grit from the four corners of the globe.

That actually makes alot of sense, because he came out of a partridge breeding...do you suppose the partridge may have been put over whites at some point to accentuate the barring? What do you suppose might happen if I DID put him over whites like I'm thinking? I might just get both partridge AND white and see what happens with both...this is going to be interesting....and MUCH more space-consuming than I had hoped! lol

Pretty sure he was produced by white x partridge.

Putting him with another white will give you either 50/50 of barred birds and white birds or just 100% barred birds with less red on them. Over time you may get to solid barred birds, but the recessive white is seriously going to haunt you if you don't breed it out properly.

Course, it won't hurt too much. Both Barred and White are E/E with nothing else.

I was using pine straw but I dont have anywhere to keep it really. I mulched a lot of it and made mini bales of a lot of it. If anyone wants a homemade mini baler let me know. It make s abale the size of about 3 or 4 reams of printer paper. Its made from particle wood so it cant get wet too much but I ran out of pine straw til next year and have no use for it. Im also cleaning the garage.

Heres a video of it in action. This guy wears cut off jeans, but I made one and it works still without wearing Daisy Dukes.

Does Sheryl Butler have a website?

I don't think so. I had emailed her last fall after finding her email on Cochins International, but never got a reply. Luckily we got to the December show in Chehalis early enough that she still had plenty of birds for sale.

I was up most of the night with my 9 yr old DD who was throwing up all night.

Now our dog Kelby just barfed.

On a good note, just got a call from folks coming to pick up 5 of our extra roos that they are one their way!
