And that lake is gonna get bigger ... It's been pouring for days up here with hardly a break, and no change in the forecast. It's all headed your way! I drove over both the middle and south fork of the Snoqualmie, and the river is very high, and the little tributaries that run through my neighborhood are all over their banks and flooding the streets.

It's pouring here on Long Beach Peninsula.

Collecting eggs and feeding my Flock has become a bit of a........um.......Challenge, yeah that's it a challenge!

I use shredded paper. BUT I learned to make the strips short or they get tangled around feet etc.

My Ameraucana eat shredded paper, especially if wet a bit, yumm, they fight for it.
No other birds give it the time of day...the RIW love to pull out pink fiberglass insulation, I do not think they eat it though, it all seems to be there.
All the birds go ape and will knock me down to get at styrofoam.....

Not flooded here, but gosh, I felt like I was sweeping out a flooded hallway today. Had to take a broom and sweep out all the dirty, mucky water from the nesting room. Poor hens currently have a nesting room that has been leaking for some time, so I often need to sweep the water out. (the floor is cement)

This exact thing is why I'm hoping my DH gets home soon. The foundation at the barn that I manage was never sealed/finished, so water seeps in under the framework... I curently gave the hay sand bagged to ceep the seepage off of it. But you just never know. I would hate to loose the bottom of the hay stack to rain.
