Kind of funny you mention the 78 ford. DW had one that her and ex bought new and she just sold it. But it was tierd and had a rough life. Her DS beat for the last few years it was on the road. I finally got tired of fixing it for him and when he grenaded the trans I said that's it and towed it out in the field. Two years ago she told me haul it as scrap. I refused so there it sat and recently a guy came and showed her cash and she took it.

Finally that thing is out of my face.

I think the only time we see it is when it is like this! We were joking with other locals a few years back ... sunny day after a week of heavy rain, lower valley was flooding. We all missed the rain so much that we had to go to the falls and feel it again! The river was so full, and so much mist coming off that you could see a rainbow above it from Snoqualmie (I took a picture because it looked like a rainbow in sunny skies). We were getting significantly wet already at the raised walway over 202!

We did see the falls twice this summer when we had guests from CA and MD. I was surprised to see so much rock! It even had more water going over than a typical summer, not only because of the wet summer, but the power plant is being renovated so none of the water was diverted through it.

We know several familes that have cabins/vacation property out that way. They all love it, and plan on retiring out there. You can dig for fossils, camp at Lake Curlew, the people out there are friendly (I think nearly everyone in WA is friendly compared to CA where I grew up).

Craftsman....now you're talking. We have a 1916 craftsman bungalow with all the original woodwork and built ins.

It looks awfully bare out there to me. I like trees and hills. The wind must be something with nothing to slow it down.

Salvaging and bulldozing sounds like a good idea.

This house needs to be salvaged (the banisters, etc) and bulldozed.
Then build a new home, with up to date electrical, insulation, heating and water...and re-install all the cool old salvaged stuff so it looks like the same old home.
The home is a total loss, hence the cheap price...but, has a good well and septic and power ?
If not, an updated septic is in the $30K range, and a well can go very high as well....

It is awfully cute, and bet it has a great view, but reminds me of the house in the movie 'the Money Pit'

Nice load.

My oldest son wants a 68 to 72 GMC pick-up. He turns 14 in 2 weeks and want us to take him to the dmv to get a learners permit.

I am so glad those days are behind me. We made the mistake of think that because DH and I are very good drivers that so would our kids. Well I don't know what went wrong with DD. That girl is still a scary driver. She has no instinct or intuition for driving. DS on the other hand was backing the van and trailer up for before he was 14. Expect for him being a bit to self assured, he is a good driver. I still happiest when I am driving by myself though.

Okay I will jump into the Ford verses Chevy debate. I have owned both, and I now drive a Volvo.

ALL of those little seed plugs are filled with over 220 Pepper and Tomato seeds. One thing is filled with Tomatoes, another with Peppers, and the third lonely one with some more Peppers.

And the plants beside them are pepper plants brought in from last summer. . . They'll be a full year old when they start bearing this year.

I brought some pepper and one tomato plant in from last summer and now they are covered with aphids. I need to find some spray that is safe for baby Emma.

I don't know how the Valley is looking at the moment, but I'm in North Spokane and my SO is at work on Sprague, if needed we can help out. The weather on my end of the city is fairly dry, but I'm no where near the river. Local news doesn't show anything worrisome about the river either.
