Why are all the awesome things I need way off in Tacoma, Olympia, or Seattle?

Know anyone with a truck headed your way? I'd be happy to let you have it Illia!

I have the truck...but can't justify a drive to the other side of the state, even for a find like that!

In my own news...my firewood ad FINALLY posted! Now to see how long my competitors leave it alone before I get flagged for selling it cheap!

And Yes I own one. But hey when some one offers to give ya a 1 ton truck with a 12' flat bed and all ya have to do is drive it home who is gonna say no regardless of the hood ornament. I can change the ornament and in fact have the ornament and grill from an IHC that I will be putting on it (just because the GMC grill is broke).

And here is a pic of it with a little load of wood. Earning it's keep.

This looks like the load of wood my son dropped off at our place the other day. It nearly did my DH in, as he was moving the rounds of wood around the backyard. I gave him Advil, and then told him to cut the rounds in to smaller rounds. He listened this time.

So we have all this wood just for a patio fireplace, that was not designed for bonfires. The sad part is that I totally love bonfires

, so I am always burning more than I should in my little patio fireplace.

I have to worry about the willow tree that grows to close the the fireplace.

Oh and CR that is a great truck you've got there.

I sometimes find if I post very late in the evening or very early in the morning the craigslist gods let questionable post slip by.

Anyone use a search tool like www.searchtempest.com to search craigslist?

If I knew someone with a truck headed that way, I'd have a LOT of useful stuff by now. . .

I love the area in and around Republic. It's not that far for the Canadian broader. We went to Curlew lake one year on a vacation, and we cross over to Grand Forks BC. They have almost the best Borscht I have ever eaten. I would love to back and try the Borscht from other bistros. Curlew lake is just north of the town of Republic, and there are a lot of houses around the lake.

Okay now I jealous. I might just have to take myself down the road, and go shopping at my local hydroponics store. I have tomato seed from last years packages. I only used about half of the seed I bought. I just might go through my stash of vegie seeds and see what 'I can get to grow this year. At least I know that I will beans this year.

Personally, I'd want to be slightly closer to a hospital/shopping, etc. Oh and you'd need a 4wd for sure...there is LOTS of snow up in Republic! I'm in Okanogan (Pleasant Valley, which is up Loup Loup Pass). I am about 25 minutes from Wal-mart or 20 minutes from the hospital. The few times I've had to call the police--it is a 30 to 45 minute response time.
