I was thinking of laying them long way, so the coop will be 8' long 4' wide, and 4' tall in the back, and 4' 4" tall in the front, to allow for a slanted roof... I also think I want to raise it up off the ground about 3 feet... I'm really trying to get this one right, as the one I built last summer just isnt working. Not enough ventilation, space, and its imposible to clean out. Was a nice concept coop for when the girls were little. I'm gonna hold onto it for a grow out coop. But thats all its good for.
I will check out your pallet coop! Thanks for pointing it out!
My first coop here was a pallet coop, it was all I had and no transportation...no electricity..very little water, I used the pallets as a foundation, and of course I have since gone under it to "shore it up" as it will rot on the ground...the other absurd thing is it is NOT 4x4...the pallets I used are like 4 1/3 by 3 3/4 so alot of plywood got ruined. the entire came out to something like 3 wide by 2 pallets long at about 7 1/3 feet.
Stupid. Trying to save time, and now I have an odd ball that hopefully will not rot.
